Ford Fiesta MK6 2002 - 2008 Heater Blower Location and Removal

Thank you for your video. The fan on my 2004 fiesta used to make strange noises and on one occasion got stuck damaging the resistor array. Strangely, it would only play-up over winter on really wet and rainy days. The high level of detail and clarity in your video gave me the confidence to take the blower motor out. The problem seemed to be a rusty shaft being held by the sintered bearing. Oiled the bearing and reinstalled the blower- time will tell but it all looks good. Thank you again, contributions such as yours make a positive difference.

Do you have a UK car? I have got the same problem, but I only see pipes on the left side of the car. Heater cap that you remove also looks a little bit different, and because of the steering wheel I can hardly come there...

Good video. Just to let anybody know who wants to try this in situ yes it can be done and I am no mechanic. My blower fan was chirping like a budgie on steroids and was driving me mad so I just had to try it. Two screws to remove the glovebox. There is also a piece of air ducting to remove with one screw and I moved the fuse box holder to one side with two 10mm nuts. Also before you remove the round outer cover thingy there is a white plastic cable connector to lever off the top. It is a serious bugger of a job but with a lot of jiggery pokery I just about got the blower moter out, cleaned and oiled all moving parts and it works silently now. Hope this helps.

This helped me tremendously - on a 2012 Ford Figo actually!. Almost the same layout, although the cover that has to be removed is actualy 1 of 2 fresh / re-circulate valves on the Figo - so a small white lever on the top also needs to be unclipped. But the rest of the box is very similar and your video helped me push through and not give up!

My left heater air duct guide from heater box to left windscreen vent has become undone from the under the dash where it meets the windscreen. I can push it up but it's the grey rubber insulation that's stopping it seating for me to push the other side onto the left windscreen vent heater box outlet hole. Does this mean I have to take the dash out as there is not enough space to get my hands up there to put it right. My heat position selector is sometimes spinning. The control wire for this is attached to the blower motor housing. Is this part of the housing or a separate replacement part.

Any videos on how to get the complete box out like what you have on the bench? I got my car and someone has broke something inside so the air blows through where my radio should be but had to remove it as was overheating the stereo and fusing it, is it a full dash off to remove it or can it be done other way? Any help would be great

Any video, drawings or anything about what it is inside with blend doors ? Because i have an issue with one, when ac is on the cold air goes through the heater core : /. Kind of sucks that it's trying to cool the hot air haha. Thanks to anyone who will answer this it will be great help ! The inside of this is pure mystery to me can't figure it out

Its there a thing all 2006 models to squeak i have a fiesta 2006 just bought it last year and it does squeak but what do you put for lubrication? Oil or vaseline(grease) that thich stuff i dont know how its called english its not my main language

Can't do this on 08 fiesta with aircon. Can't even see it with just the glove box removed. It's surrounded by ducting. Looks like a full dashboard out job.
