CAUTION! The removal of the panel is by far not so easy as it looks in this video! The panel is fixed with plastic noses which fit extremely tight! It is almost unavoidable to break some of those noses, if not during removal then during the re-insertion. A Ford workshop mechanic told me that the removal and re-installation is even a nightmare for the professional. Take care and work slowly, carefully and precisely! Think twice before applying strong force, which is unfortunately unavoidable. Luckily the panel does not need all noses.

This is really strange, the person in the video must have either used the same radio module or must have changed something in the wiring circuit because the radio with extra buttons and the bigger screen has different connectors and needs different plugs than the other one 🤷‍♂️

I removed the plus pole from the car battery and the tape did not recover. fuses work fully. but a clock mode did not go whatever I did. please can you help

I was do the same thing , but not working , the screen is not booting , if i use the old screen the small one is working if i put the big one is not doing anything , any help ?

When you change the Radio. Do you also change the control panel or work it with the old control panel?

No.Have a solo the bluetooth module must be mounted down underneath the passenger compartment.

@@Thaa98Yes exactly that was my question too, i checked a lot of original radio sets and the radio with with the extra buttons and the bigger display has different connectors than the more simple radio module and so it needs different plugs of course.. So that means that the person in the video used the old metal radio box (module) with the new panel and bigger display and it works????

@@LikaPyramid no you can’t use the old one you need to buy one that’s got it built in and rewire everything it’s a lot of messing around not worth it you can get a small Bluetooth connector for around £5 that does the job it will save you alot of money

I don’t understand how that works, i got the model with the standard radio and the tiny rectangular display and i want to upgrade it to the version with the extra buttons and the bigger square display but i thought those radio modules need different plugs or is that depending on the year the car was build in? Because on some radio modules i see only one port for 1 big plug and on other radios i see 2 ports for 2 smaller plugs

This will not work just by buying a full Bluetooth stereo you need to rewire the car for the Bluetooth connectivity install microphones so it can pickup your voice not worth it just for Bluetooth also the ports on the back of the radio will be different and won’t be compatible with newer models you can’t buy an adapter for the ports. buy a little Bluetooth device that connects to the aux port and use a usb plugin where the cigarette socket is will work the exact same for about £6

Just means the car is turned off. You can turn the radio on while the car is off but to save battery it turns off after one hour, you can however turn it back on. If the car is turned on the radio stays on.
