You need to enter the Car Settings menu and select the CANBUS model that you have plugged into the unit.

In the Factory Settings menu: 1) Make sure that the head unit knows exactly what brand of CANBUS you've got connected, usually HiWorld or Raise which you translate from the Chinese characters printed on the CANBUS box; 2) Check in that submenu that the correct CANBUS brand has got Ford selected then Fiesta with the correct model year, like if you have a 2010 model it needs to be set to 2009-2012 Fiesta; then 3) Find a part of the menu that says something like 'Steering Learn', go into that then you only have four buttons to 'map', being Vol+, Vol-, track skip .

On my fiesta, all the car settings are done on the radio, are you still able to configure them on the CarPlay radio? (folding mirror link to lock, change between miles and kms, etc etc)

⁠@@djshottyhmm I’m having this same issue but there is nowhere to manually set the model vehicle you have, there are no sub-menus. Have a Raise canbus box.

@@wyatt_gman73 Just try jumping into menus until you can find the setting you need to change. FACTORY SETTINGS needs a passcode. Try different ones like 8888, 1234, 000000. Once you're in there you'll find lots more different 'Settings' you can change. It's pretty much a game of trial and error, sorry to say.

If the CANBUS box is correctly connected to the head unit and the correct plugs from the car are joined to the wiring harness, all you need do is go into the Settings menu, find FACTORY SETTINGS, enter a code (12345, 8888, 000000 or other numbers depending on what type of head unit it is), find where it says CANBUS, make sure that 'Raise' is selected. You scroll down the menu, look for 'Steering Learn' or something like that, you'll see a whole heap of button symbols. Tap the volume up button on the screen, press the volume up key on the steering wheel, a green tick should be next to the symbol on the screen. Do the same for volume down, track skip back and track skip forward.

What's the audio compared to stock? I was extremely impressed with the amount of bass the stock system spits out, but with my old mk6 fiesta all that was gone with a stereo upgrade.

In most Fiesta it’ll actually improve the audio. A lot of Ford Fiestas are notorious for experiencing rattling when playing music. The radio would improve sound and fix rattling problem too.

Some cars have just one while others have two, but the radio should be compatible with also your vehicle.

@@samsenin1093 Some Fiestas, especially newer ones, come with two cables. On our website we ask for a picture of the back of the radio so that we send you all the right cables. There`s a wide variety of Fiestas out there meaning that although they may look similar the cabling might be different, but the radio should still be a perfect fit.

@@njr1310 Yes! On my model (US 2012 Ford Fiesta) simply plugging in the new wiring harness did not work. I had to remove the red accessory power wire from the new radio's wiring harness, get another length of wire to extend its length with a crimp connector, and use an add-a-fuse circuit tap to plug it in directly into the fuse box located behind the passenger glove box. I used a multimeter to find a fuse slot that provided power only when the vehicle was turned on. At first I added the fuse to the slot my car manual said was for the radio and found that the head unit would not turn off completely and it was constantly draining my battery. I'm now using the fuse slot for "wiper switch" and the radio turns on and off with my car. The only complaint now is the time setting on the radio doesn't hold. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

The wiring is different on those models, meaning that the radio just wouldn’t work. There’s plenty of other radio online that do support the ones with 6 dial buttons.
