I bought a new Fiesta ST in 2014, it has a Cobb stage two Tune short shift kit 3' MBPR exhaust Cobb motor mount and many visual effects, it has over 100,1200 miles on it now and I'm on my 7th set of tires, I run Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, the car still looks Showroom, my friends can't believe I'm still on the stock clutch, I'm 75 years young and have had 14 cars and 9 motorcycles in my life and by far this is the most fun I've ever had driving, it never gets old. Darren Moss Great review, but you made the part when you entered the post code into the sat nav more taxing than necessary. You should have used the number buttons that run across the top of the infotainment system. They input letters in the same way as an old style keypad on a mobile phone.

The car is def not loud, although it gets kinda loud inside the cabin - I am assuming that some fake engine/exhaust noise is being fed through the speakers. But it is a great car. The exhaust noise can be fixed with aftermarket parts. And I like mine being sort of polite and not introducing itself from a mile away.
@MarkCup708 жыл бұрын
Your point about the seats needing readjusting every time they're slid forward for rear seat access is not correct. If used correctly they return to the original position every single time. Regardless, these are fantastic cars. I've almost covered 60,000 miles in mine now on road and track...so many smiles, so much fun! There's nothing out there that compares giving a balance of price, practicality, and pure driving enjoyment.

You failed to mention engine overboost which is quite important when looking at engine/power specs on paper. Perhaps a mention of the sound symposer would have been useful for potential buyers. And finally, I find the voice recognition really good. Other than that a pretty decent review, very polished and professional, nice work.

I agree with you Johnny. It doesn't have a 'boomy' note, but it's actually well balanced for every day use. The Abarth on the other hand sounds amazing with the Monza and Akrapovic exhausts. Really fun when you have the mood and really upsetting when you're not. Personally, I love the Abarth because of it's spirit and to sort the issue I would install an exhaust valve.

Apart from that it’s well worth getting!

It's definitely sporty. But my experience has been that it is not very inexpensive to own or insure. If you like to drive it hard, expect to replace the brakes and tires much more frequently! If you choose to 'track' it, the brakes you replaced the weekend prior to the event will require replacement again. I am not exaggerating this! The stability and abs are not actually fully "off" even though the button below the HVAC indicates that it is "off". So, brakes are going to get very hot, very soon. In track use. Which is all good. Because you will also discover fairly quickly that the FiST is rather short on cooling capacity in either track play or low speed urban traffic on humid, warmish days. I have owned my 16 Fiesta ST for over five years. It's ok as an econobox with a bit more boost. But, it isn't a robust performance car in the traditional sense of the word.

Is sync 3 available in the UK versions? my 2016 has it, and it's touch screen helps a lot. EDIT: Just for the record, my car is averaging 27mpg overall since I got the car. I am a very spirited driver. haha. so, that comes into effect, especially since I only drive the car on the weekends. If you get into the boost a lot, the mpg goes way down. So, be skeptical of the 40mpg claim.

old & grey well it's a Ford... German cars are far better, we had the fiesta in 2014 brand new and a polo at the same time, miles apart and the polo wasn't actually more expensive and it's worth more after two years and it gets around 83mpg. The fiesta was a petrol so it cost more to maintain then our Audi A6 as it needed more services and got 54 mpg far worse then the A6
@nigelcb13008 жыл бұрын
Chatta290 agreed, we bought our fiesta on looks and I still think its a good looking little car, but the car was a little disappointing in several ways including economy, I drove ours very gently and still only managed around an average of 41 mpg, only slightly better than the 2 litre semi automatic grand Picasso it replaced

I have been telling my dad it looks like an angry trout. That being said, it really is one of the best cars I have ever owned, I have had a GTI, 2 cobras (1996 and 2003) a 240sx and an old fox body and I would recommend this ahead of those to anybody, it is cheap, relatively quick and has a massive aftermarket (this is huge for me). It doesn't murder me in petrol (my cobras both got around 9mpg) and I can fold the seats down and head out of town camping or whatever with me and the GS. Not to mention it is CHEAP, I paid 21500 OTD for mine, mind you im in the states so it would probably be a bit less in GBP. Shoot if you have any questions.

butchmeister 80 practically every other car at this price has better interior features. Manual adjusted seats; no blind spot warning; no LED lighting; no options for heated seats; tiny infotainment; cheap plastic trim; etc. Just compare for yourself all of the features found in another $20,000 car and you’ll see. This car should be closer to $16,000. Really, that motor is not worth the price with what you are sacrificing. My car is 17 years old and the interior looks way better than this. I did test drive the car. To be fair, it truly is fun to drive, but it is just too plain for Ford to ask for that much money. Resale value is horrible as well with 50%+ drop in three years time.
