I’m sure you know but viewers might not, the false floor of the trunk doesn’t need to be removed to access the pump. Lifting the floor up, it will stay in place resting against the upper supports and allow access to the mobile charger or the pump.

I use an AC powered inflator at home. It can inflate a tire from flat in about 4-6 minutes, 29 to 35 PSI in 2. I have a hand held DC pistol grip styled one that stops at the set pressure. It is reasonably accurate

Not sure how true it is but my Ford service manager told me to never use the kit that comes with my Mach-E unless I was completely stranded with no way to get roadside support because the tire kit stuff ruins the tire and you have to replace it once it's filled with the sealant
@CookiePepper3 жыл бұрын
You can use it as simple inflator without any problem. Just do not select sealant injection mode.

Use Fix A Flat (sensor safe version) and the tire will not be damaged. It can also last forever.

I will always have a compressor at home and a portable one in all cars. To get accurate reading use an external gauge and inflate when tires are cold.

💥💥💥 Hey Patrick ..... if you want to see what the tires are actually suppose to be set at, look at the sticker that is on the door frame when you open the driver side door. ALWAYS GO BY THIS. Never go by what is said on the tires because the tires don't know what car they are going to be put on. The PSI is usually somewhere between 32 and 35 for most passanger cars. 💥💥💥 I was worried when I saw your title. I thought that the Pony had a broken leg or something.

Would have been much more informative to show how the sealant is used for a flat tire. You wouldn’t actually have to seal the tire just show how it is done. Isn’t there a separate bottle with sealant in it? You didn’t mention that.
@CecilSandigeАй бұрын
I own a Mach-e, and recently had a flat. Got to use the tire sealant/inflater kit. It is nearly useless. The sealant would not stop the leak, we had to position the hole on the bottom so the sealant would dribble out, then let it set all night, then put air in the tire. It only lasted about three miles. The only luck we had was the tire shop was 2 miles away. So it did sort of work, but it took 12 hours to get the car moved 3 miles. I will start carrying an extra can of a brand name sealant.

Hey Lori! It didn't give us a low pressure light but Patrick was just checking the pressure on the main screen and noticed it. It's so easy to check the pressure. However apparently a warning light and icon will show on the instrument cluster if it gets low enough. - Liv

@@Livshaka thanks. Mine gives a low pressure warning but not until it’s pretty low (like really it should notify BEFOREyou are that low) so I guess the Mach e is the same.

@@Livshaka yeah. Mine gets 10lbs low on pressure before it warns me. It needs to be five. Even if it’s variance is due to cold weather (which I could discern leak from weather related), 5 lbs low would be a perfect tip to check out the tire.

Oh God, your tire kit is exactly the same one that came with my 2016 Ford C-Max Energi. It is modestly useful for doing tire pressure maintenance, but for dealing with a flat, it is utterly worthless. You have no idea how crushing it is to have a flat tire in the middle of nowhere Western Oklahoma, pull out that tire kit and watch that gooey fluid leak out of the tire without sealing anything. I think the Mustang Mach E is an impressive car, but its lack of a real spare tire, or even one of those little temporary spares, is a serious fail for me. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
