Bit of advice. Plz. I got a batterh light show up. Have you ever considered an alternator upgrade. But i think mine is caused by my sound system. 3000watts. Might have to add my power cap.

My alternator is fine mate, I’ve never had a battery light. But if I also had a 3000watt sound system in my car I probably would 😂. Bet it sounds good though 👍🏻

I need help bro. Sorry I couldn't watch this video because I didn't have the time to do so. I have a problem with my heater, whenever my windshield needs defrosting as soon as I turn on the car I rev it a few times then put it on max, however, no hot air is pumping until after about 5-10 mins and I have to actually drive the car in circles until it starts defrosting the windshield. Its a piss take having to wait that long in the morning making me late. I tried all different combinations of the heater settings but its not working no matter what. To be honest I am not sure what to do as no one on YT seems to have the same problem, but most yt videos are about buying a heater resistor and replacing it. Should I do this??

When you say you put on the heater do you mean the heated from windscreen button or the blower? When I turn the car on you should put the heated windscreen buttons on to clear the frost. If you’re putting the blower on max after just starting the car it’ll only blow out cold air until the engine is warmed up, which does take 5-10mins. You can turn on the A/C and put it on warm but if no hot air comes out that might need a service/refill.

Hi I’ve just tried to replace my cabin filter on my 2015 ecoboost and there’s a thick black wiring loom cable running across the bottom half where the clips are to remove the filter housing cover and there not enough clearance for me to get the filter out can u suggest away

Hey owen, I have an eml that is turbocharger/supercharger boost control #A performance. My car isnt boosting at all, i brought it to mechanics and they made me pay 200 for a vacuum pump actuator and then put that on with new boost pipes but it didnt fix the problem, now they saying its the waste gate in the turbo which can only be replaced by a whole new turbo? Should i trust them and pay the 600 or do you have any better suggestion?

Well if you’re buying a new turbo for the 1.0 ecoboost it’s around £300. Second hand turbos on eBay are around £150 to buy and they state the turbos in working order. What’s the fault code you’ve got from the car? If the cars not boosting have you checked the vacuum pump valve? If it’s fallen apart that could affect boost. Yes if the waste gate isn’t working properly then the turbo/ boost won’t work properly. Check the vacuum pump valve first then if that’s ok it could possibly be a faulty turbo waste gate. So second hand used off eBay is £150 for a turbo and new is around £300. Then it depends on how much the labour is to fit it.

Question have u ever experienced burning smell after going over 70 mph can’t diagnose it at all

No I’ve never experienced a burning smell while driving but Check for - 1. Sticking brakes 2. Engine oil leaks 3. Electrical shorts Is the heater on or off while you notice the smell? You could change the cabin filter, a quick job and £10 to buy see if that cures the burning smell. If it’s not the cabin filter, you’re heating up something. Could be wheel hubs, could be the catalytic converter or something near the exhaust that's smokes when heated like suspension bushings, spilt oil near the exhaust burning? The fact you smell it in the cars cabin suggests it's under the hood since the AC air intake is just below the windshield wipers. Any thing behind that should not get sucked into the car. But if I was you change the cabin filter to see if it’s that, quick and cheap.

Hey got focus 13 . Starts stops . After a couple of seconds. Cuts back in. Auto start stop won't turn off. Any idea what this can be?

It could be your battery needs checking/replacing. The stop/start is only supposed to work if the battery is 70% charged. If your stop/start is constantly on you might need to do a battery reset. So turn the car on but don’t start the engine. Press the rear fog light button 5 times followed by the hazard warning button press 3 times. Wait around 10 seconds and you should see the battery icon on the dash flash three times. You should now be able to use the stop/start button again.

@@simonperkins7929 if your battery is ok, did you say your car can cut out while driving then come back on, it could be an issue with fuel delivery. Maybe the in tank fuel pump could be at fault, have a look at the pump driver module which is a little box screwed to the top of the petrol tank, check the fuel pump relay. Check the battery terminals are on properly. I had it on my old car it used to cut out around corners due to the negative battery terminal wasn’t fixed down properly.

No car was fine I'm the morning. Got in to go home turned it over started cuts out in less than 10seconds.
