Do you know if the voltage regulator is in the alternator or computer on a 07 fusion 2.3 . I’ve got one that’s overcharging bad

After replacing the fuse, and you do the cluster test it still shows DTC 9318... why?

Anybody that tells you "YOU HAVE TO GO TO A SHOP" is a scammer

Yeah, no.. Most people don't have the resources or the room to take an entire car apart. Technically half the car. The engine harness usually covers EVERY wire between the firewall and the headlights. The body harness covers everything form the firewall, through the dashboard all the way to the taillights. It pretty much requires you to take half of the car apart, and most people don't have the machinery or the room to do that. The manufacturer, telling MECHANICS to tell people that they have to replace the entire harness to fix one wire.. THAT IS a scam!! Then it's up to mechanics with good intentions like this guy to come up with a SAFE solution that will work for everybody, every time. This guy is putting himself out there for publishing a safe solution. That deserves at least a bit of thanks. Assuming it works.. it deserves some respect from his peers.

Still stand by my statement. It's not something that you need to get done at a shop and he's not talking about replacing the entire wiring harness. He's replacing positive the battery cables to the starter and alternator. I have put half my Ford together in the apartment complex parking lot. So just because someone doesn't have a garage doesn't mean they don't have the room to do the work. All I did was explain what I was doing and how long it would take to the apartment manager and then I proceeded to spend every extra moment I had get it done

@@blossombloomer6652 Ah! Yes.. he was.. listen again. :) (He was saying that you have to go to a shop to get the wiring harness replaced.)
