Not sure if i can mount the camera without drilling into my car, but i’ll be sure to do the mic. Haven’t been able to work on it with this 10°F weather 😂I think in 3-4 days when its 60°F i can get the video up! Appreciate it! ❤️

With the addition of the Carplay/Android auto wires, where do they expect the USB ports to go because the guard at the bottom blocks them (at least on 2015 +)? Lol

I have the same problem and I’m guessing the 2 usb port piece Is for the ST or an earlier model SE. The A/C unit would have to be removed in order to fit it. I can show you what I did with the part that fits so I can use wired connection, but it’s not the most optimal for looks.

Soo tbh the hvac controls aren’t to terrible to remove I believe they are required to be removed I removed my radio to install an aftermarket amplifier and had to remove them and long story short the 12v outlet can be removed and if you diy/3d print if you have the option create an insert of the hole that removing the 12v outlet creates and stick the usb there 🤷‍♂️ I have my bass knob for my amplifier 😂 factory finish almost but be careful removing the 12v as it’s in there extremely well and I scratched the plastic pretty decent

i just installed the same unit in my 15 St3. I almost gave up because no sounds coming from the speakers :( i was ready to ship it back lol. i had to trigger the blue wire ( amp wire) to 12V power off the harness and it fixed my problem. i would highly recomend using the USB plug for the Android auto over wireless connection

How do you use wired connection, I plug my iPhone into one of the usb ports that came with this unit but music doesn’t play, it keeps trying to connect to car play. It’s annoying too cause when ever I try to turn off wifi hotspot from coming from the car it keeps turning back on.

I haven’t gone through all the controls, but it’s worked really good for what i paid for. The bluetooth connectivity was glitching a bit at one point, but i think it’s from one of the wires not being fully pushed in. navigation and radio work good. If that’s the only issue then i love it and definitely recommend

Same thing with mine, only hazards and lock work. I've seen that problem with many different carplays for the focus so it might be something with the compatibility with the focus and not the carplay being broken. Luckily I don't need those buttons, but It would definitely be nice to have working! If I find something on how to fix it I'll let you know

I've tried and I still can't figure out how to tap into the backup light wires. I can ground the negative and power the positive another way but then the camera would be on 24/7. If I want the camera to be on only in reverse, I tap the power to the backup light so the camera power shuts off when the back up light isnt on. The backup light doesnt have a red wire so I need to buy a voltage tester too.

How did you connect the door lock switch I have a 2015 focus se and it doesn't have a switch on the dash. How did you connect it? Also, did u get to do the camera video?

One of the power cables connects to it and controls all the buttons, like the lock, hazards, power, navigation, etc. It's for 2012-2018 so it will work with your focus too. I haven't done the backup camera because the only way to mount it is to drill into the back and I don't want damage in case I sell it

You can use one of your license plate screws to hold the back up camera in place, that’s what I did. I had to dremel the camera mount to make it a little bit bigger but it worked perfectly

It took my around 4 hours since this was my first time doing it, but if I did it again I could easily get it done In less than 20 minutes. It’s actually easy and very simple compared to other cars

I did some research and the US and Swedish models were made almost the same. The only difference was small cosmetic/features. The head unit is the same so if I’m not wrong you could definitely use it on the Swedish model too!

You could get it done in 20 minutes. Took me 4 hours since this was my first time setting up an aftermarket stereo and messing with wires. Definitely an easier job than I made it look!
