I had a variant of this happen - in my S-Max, but I fixed the BCM myself. So if you see similar issues, maybe try this out. One morning my S-Max was almost "dead" - turning egnition key on, the "blinkers" in the instrument cluster was flashing fast, nothing else. The battery was almost drained, so I recharged it. After that the instrument cluster behaved normal (lights etc.), but when turning the ignition key nothing happens (starter did not turn). I noticed that the interior lights did not work and neither did the power windows. This pointed me in the direction of the BCM (located below the glove box). Common BCM problems cause "no start", "electrical systems not behaving normal", "immobilizer not working correct", "battery drain" as systems are not shut down properly after driving. I feared that I had to replace the BCM (it is expensive) - but got the thought that it could be a soldering problem (lose soldering or similar due to maybe vibrations) as is often the case with faulty instrument clusters in Fords from these years. My S-Max is a 2008 petrol. I took the BCM out and opened it. There are two print plates inside. What I did was I soldered all the connections (two rows of a lot of "pins") between the two print plates. They are not soldered from the factory - just "pushed" together. I assembled it again and installed the BCM. Everything works again. Hope it can help someone out there...

Investigating into it checking my can wires, earth's and powers I found that my power from relay 16 ( ignition was behaving like an earth ) . Also found that fuse 38 for the engine management was also behaving like an earth . When I disconnect the harness at the Junction box / fuse box under the bonnet I still have an earth at fuse 38. @@Buggen-Out-Yo our 2013 Focus has had 3 Replacement TCM's .... And We still have the same problems of it going into limp mode and shutting down, no restart. @@SYDiagnostics Thanks for the answer. In the end after removing the BCM from the car and inspecting it, it was only lightly corroded (the issue I had was with the little water that accumulated in the plug itself). Opened and cleaned it, opened and cleaned the connector's individual wires, put dielectric grease on both and reassembled without the pump wires for now, which I'll have to replace and do the cut/crimp near the pump. But that'll come in a few days once it stops raining here. I have also removed the yellow/red start-stop wire from pin 8, as it wasn't connected in the BCM as I don't have start-stop. That was the wire which was shorting with the blue KL15 live wire. Maybe it helps somebody else.

I would like to reach you but I am from Hungary and the cost of tranpsort would be enormous. My BCM model is code DV6T-14A073-FU. Is a very rare code, i can't find it anywhere (used one). Everything i find is with ES, BK, BS, ET, DK, EU...nothing with FU. Are I likely to find one of these to be compatible with mine. If i found the same code (FU) would I need to BCM reprogramming? IF it's different code that mine, is it solved the compatibility with BCM reprogramming? Best regards, and i am your best fun!
