Thanks so much, someone had hit our car and it made the hood opening mechanism stop working. We are very thankful as now we were able to open the hood without taking the front pieces off. After trying many KZbin videos this was the only one that worked.

Q:!When you poke your screwdriver through the hole and into the mechanism , isn’t there a cover to the locking mechanism ??

You're doing a public service man! My st2 latch is numb, only opens half way mostly. I'm gonna keep a 500mm driver in the car now until I get it replaced 👊.

When I pushed it in I made shaw it’s in the center and push hard If this don’t work your going to need to takeoff the grill

I have a third party lock and I still can’t get in. The barrel looks to be just moving and not actually turning the lock…. And I’m out of coolant as it’s been leaking. To garage I go 😢

I've had this fail on me several times, replacing each time with a cheap Ebay Chinese piece of cr*p. They're useless breaking again after months. Go to a breaker and get a genuine Ford one. On a positive note, I believe the original engineer that designed this monstrosity was taken out & shot - every cloud, eh? 🤣
