Ford Focus MK2 XR5/ST225 MK2 LED Interior Light Install 💡

Hey everyone, today I installed some new LED's for the interior of the XR5, the kit had every LED needed and they were all pretty easy to install. Thanks for the useful video... My interior light in the boot has been blown for quite a while, and I'm thinking of going LED throughout the interior, as the current halogen lights are not very bright (and LED's will modernise the interior)...

how did you get your dashbord to be blue? Did it come stock like that for your model or did you get a backlit mod or something? Thinking about doing these mods to my mk2 ford focus st since the light in the front have blown out. Cheers for the video

Hey mate, I had a friend from Sydney change the colour of the dash with some Blue SMD LED’s that he soldered on. And they are a worthwhile mod so I can’t blame you, thanks for giving the video a watch I really appreciate it 🙌🏼

Hey bro I’m currently an L plater soon to go on my P’s, and am looking to get a fun car the learn manual in, I found a Mark 6 GTI and an XR5 Turbo, which should I go for?

Hey bro, it really depends on what you are after. They are both fairly easy cars to modify, but I obviously have more experience with the XR5, I’ve done nearly every install myself and it’s been really rewarding and most of them haven’t been too bad either. I’ve heard that the MK6 GTI’s can have problems with the gearbox’s especially the DSG (Auto) and honestly I don’t really like the sound of them, which is a big reason why I went with the Focus. My dad used to have an XR5 and I knew that they were a fun, safe and if maintained well reliable hot hatch. @@relapse86 Hey bro the 2010 model XR5 doesn’t need an exemption but due to the Prefacelift models being slightly lighter they go over the power to weight ratio. They are P plate legal but if you don’t want the hassle of getting an exemption from TMR just get a 2010 build and check the vin number to see when it was built 👌🏼

@@1breematt Thanks mate, yeah definitely not legal on P’s once you start modifications but in base form with a few cosmetics you’d be ok 😄
