For me I didn’t have to drain the radiator. Only because I just had my water pump and belt replaced a few months ago. I kept the coolant cap on and I took the side clip off first then the back and tilted the tank backwards while pulling the hose off so the tank didn’t leak and replaced it no problem

careful doing this, i pulled out the top hose w the clip on it and it snapped, didn’t realize it was made of plastic🤦🏼‍♂️
