I go to the black forest regularly with my 981 boxter. The whole region is filled with amazing roads. It is also less crowded that the known mountain pass roads in the alps in Switzerland and Austria. Ah and the speed limitations is 100kmh... 20 more than in the other countries!

Picturesque road? Yes Nice corners? Yes Good road surface? Yes Good to drive? NO, packed with cops, especially on weekends. To make the corners thrilling you would need to go above the speed-limit which you better do not, unless you want to support the country of Baden Würtenberg with a donation for road maintenance. I´d rather go the Schauinsland on Tuesday morning...

Problem is only the bad and inexperienced drivers. Older drivers like my dad who lives to give it sometimes knows when to back off and not to act rowdy.

This is a forest road. Not for car testing but surrounded by forest life. If you want to try your car, go to a circuit instead polluting our forests.
