Hi, thanks for watching! - the replacement parts can either be purchased from Ford main dealer or aftermarket versions are available on eBay, they're much cheaper & work OK although the quality is not as good as genuine - You can either buy a kit with lock 'wafers' to assemble to be the same as your key (Or use your lock barrel) or you can buy it pre-assembled with a different key supplied - I personally don't like this type as you will always have to carry 2 keys if you want to open your bonnet!!

Not as professional as you but found those pesky side ones i couldn't see (proper awkward). Then a crow bar and a big hammer to break the lock part .. New key will be a long screwdriver. Thanks for the Video ⭐ 👍

How do you know where it's broken? What about when turn key left initially but don't get the initial release?

It’s quite a standard fault, you will need to inspect it yourself when it’s released to see the actual part which fails, repair kits are readily available genuine & aftermarket..

@@JC-ECUConnection took longer remove grill then it did remove whole mechanism and latch part held with 2 bolts. £25 Amazon next day delivery and happy days now have a key can open bonnet whilst leaving engine running if required

Hi, this will work on the Focus’s that have the lock mechanism under the Ford badge, I think the later Focus’s have a different layout..
