My 85 6.9 sat for almost ten years. After some fuel line fixed, brake lines that rusted and some body grounds cleaned it started like it was sitting for a few months. Now it’s in my main fleet making money hauling rock since it’s a dump body. Starts on third revolution every time if you use the glow plugs

Thats awesome. My 94 7.3 turbo starts like clockwork even if it sits for a few weeks. Have to stop myself from using it as a work truck again.

I've driven the IDI and the first generation Power Stoke, the IDI wouldn't pull a string out of a cats ass. 😢

Yeah I had a 6.9l and it towed fine NA 14,000lbs, 16,000lbs, and even a guy grossing 34,000lbs with no issues and as fast as a freightshaker pulling. Sorry but the idi is better
