This only works if you have that feature and the remote window option enabled via settings on the touch screen. I'll have to try the remote window close on my 2020 Edge - pretty sure i read they cant be closed. FYI - restarting my edge with auto climate control enabled makes my wife EXTREMELY happy to have a warm vehicle - heated seats, heated steering wheel, and heated mirrors ready for when she arrives. Happy wife, happy life!!

That slot under cup holder is a programming slot for new keys. It also unlocks some features with one key in slot and one key in hand.

In the settings screen (sync) it does have on and off toggles for the "open all windows" and "close all windows" You May wish to Check Those. Someone may have set it to Not Close the Windows automatically due to small kids getting hands pinched.

That’s a great suggestion but yes I checked nothing there unfortunately. I don’t know why ford wouldn’t allow for that on mustang but does on some other ford vehicles

i would say another one kind of related is the fordpass app, where you can remote start, lock, and unlock your car from your phone anywhere

Yup I love using the Ford pass app especially for times when I cannot remember if I locked the car lol. Also being able to remote start is always fun

Does the battery go dead on the key lock? Everything else works on it all except the lock panel and the windows go up and down automatically, lites go on too at the same time. Is it the car battery? Or the key battery?

It’s most likely the car battery. Most places would check your car battery for free so I would start there first

If the tapping 3 times doesn’t work you can actually turn it on in the setting on the steering wheel

My 17 Edge would roll the windows down, but not back up, just like your Mustang. I used Forscan and reprogramed the modules to allow the key fob to roll up the windows. My 18 F150 wouldn't do either, but I was able to program to control both up and down on the windows, along with a lot of other options.

Yeah I’ve heard Forscan allows for all these features to be enabled. I’m gonna look into buying the Forscan tool

I have 2018 Explorer Platinum I was able to activate global window up & down with the remote I used ForScan.

do you always have to touch the handle to lock the door? I have a walk away feature on my mazda but shopping for a maverick and this is a selling point for me because my hands are always full too and from work. I dont like the honk on alarm activation, i am used to the subtle electronic chime.

Thanks question. Key fobs work but led indicator doesn’t light up like it use to. Example when remote start it would flash green then solid when it starts or flash red if it didn’t start. Any reason the indicator light doesn’t light up anymore

If the fob is old and the battery hasn’t been replaced then it might be the battery. Does everything work with the fob just the led that’s not working?

@@Red5oh every thing works. I thought the light lit up any time you press a button but I guess it only lights up when remote starting. To let you know if it started or not So light does work. Could of swore it. Thanks for replying

Does it come with remote start? Back in 2012 remote wasn't as common and I think only certain trims came with it for Fusion

@@Red5oh the main fob is on the key and there's a separate smaller fob with all the basic options plus a (key) button..I would imagine this would be the remote start button possibly but when I press it and hold it down it seems like it wants to do something but then the red button will flash up top and nothing happens? What do you think? Is it a remote start button and is there a certain sequence I need to do to make it work? Maybe the battery is too low and that's why possibly? Any help is appreciated.

TRUCK UNLOCK > Unless Ford changed it specifically for thgis make/model Mustang - ALL OPTHER FORDs all you need to do it double tap the truck button - you do not need to hold it after the 2nd press. My 2015 Ford was ONLY double tap and my 2020 Ford is ONLY double tap (additionallya 2023 Ford I drove for a month is also double tap).

You may need to reset the windows. Open the window, then close it again. Hold the switch even when the window is shut, for a couple of seconds. Then release it, and hold it again, just to make sure. Repeat for all your other windows. I hope it works!

How do you turn off the key fob to keep it from transmitting the rfid. so no thiefs can pick up on the signal and amplify it to steal your vehicle?

I am not sure, but I do know it's really difficult to do that unlike Dodge vehicles that often get stolen.

Keep the key in a faraday pouch to stop the rfid signals from being picked up. Check Amazon for the item.
