For the door code, there is also a printed sticker on some years and models (can be either under the dash near the pedals OR on under the glove box) with the factory code. This is how I found out my 2013 Fusion's code, my brother's 2013 Explorer, and my mom's 2019 Lincoln MKX.

Ahh is this what it's like having a new car? never had anything that honked unless it has a short in it. Man where the hell you come from? I love this! I obtained my mothers 17' Explorer and it's literally the first NEW car I've ever owned. Mine is the XLT so not all the way awesome but the luxury features are all there. I didn't know Car dealer associates actually help those to keep from going to the dealer lol nice man you are 100% legit in my book.

Very informative. Question on tip #6. Is there any way to have the motion sensors set to 'off' (Perimeter Only) permanently. When I set Perimeter Only, it reverts to All Sensors on next start up. Inconvenient at times (eg. on an automobile ferry)

For #2 we just got a 2023 Expedition Limited and when I am at the manual wash and spray around the mirrors the running boards come out on their own. Then retract Maybe there is a random spot but it works everytime

Sorry, no. You either disable the interior sensors while you keep the perimeter on or have both on

You can program a 3rd key easily when you have 2 programed keys. BUT, you can't program a 2nd key easily. For this you will have to take it to a dealership.

2019 Ford Expedition Max Platnium. Bought used at 45k miles, rear AC broke in shop 20 days, 1st to 2nd gear jerk in shop for 7 days. 10 speed tranny overheated towing nothing in shop for 24 days, and this is the 2nd replacement tranny. One Seat belt sensor defective air bag light on - this causes the air bag system to NOT DEPLOY, in shop for 7 days. Keyless entry not working after any rain. Drove 11k miles over 20 months, in ford shop 58 days. I would say this suv was rushed into production.

I think some of the tips you show are for certain trim levels. When you were in the advance settings I saw a window section, my xlt doesn't show a window settings.

if you have the factory code for the keypad, the easiest way to put a new code in is to use the touch screen. I find that the outside "buttons" can be very finicky on touching them correctly.

If you program the second FOB key you should be able to retrieve the code that way but if the panel does not work i would take it to a certified Ford service department to evaluate it to see if its still functional.

Oh wow, I didn't know that did that, lol. So, it sounds like its a safety feature so that your kids don't open the door in case you are driving.

I went through a car wash with the running boards out...the kind of car wash that pushes your car through and shines your wheels. It ripped the running board off the driver side, along with the running board motor and broke the brackets in half. I do not suggest doing this. Only leave them out if you are hand-washing.

Great Video, if you want to lock your key fob in the car, on the keypad hit the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons and it will lock. Same for normal locking but you can't lock the fob in the car unless you hit those buttons. This is great for going hiking, skiing or something where you don't want to risk losing your keys or it allows people who may finish early to get in the car, Of course put the fob somewhere safe.

I have a 2017 Ford Expedition XLT. When I am driving downhill, putting the transmission in lower gear (manual 3 or 2) it will still accelerate to above 60 MPH and will not maintain a steady slower speed. Ford Dealer and other mechanics have said there is nothing wrong with the transmissions and there are no codes. Any idea?

Ford does not have a true manual system in the Expedition so I'm simply assuming that it overrides. Try using the hill descent control if available on your model!

I do not believe so, the F250 works on a very different modem board simply because of the nature of the vehicle but I would reach out to your local Ford servicing dept. to make sure it is not an issue with your key signal receptor!
