Base model is absolutely the best bang for the buck. The premium models get expensive really quickly. This is exactly how I would spec it...except maybe the ten speed.

The thing that stopped me from buying a Mustang period in the last 6-8 years is the fact that a base model GT came with a 4” screen. If I like how the new Stangs look in person I will probably buy one now.

Thank you for showing us a base model. A 5.0 Mustang makes far more sense in this $40K price range and doesn't seem a horrible value like all the $55K+ 5.0 'Stangs I have been seeing. Premium never felt 'premium' since Ford doesn't even offer a sunroof, so i'd pick a base model or look for a deal on an outgoing Camaro 6.2L in the upper 30Ks.

We're lucky Ford even built this new S650 Ice V8 Mustang with the industry being pushed to EV. Gone are the Charger, Challenger and Camaro. Regarding white Cobra gauges. Maybe Ford will offer a computer upgrade for a nominal cost option. Cobras were limited production Mustangs. Everybody that knew Mustangs at some point owned a Fox Body.

I would go with Base GT with active exhaust ($1225) and then add the 19” Premier Polished Aluminum Wheels (895$) to get the 255 summer tires for $46,210 (nite pony only is $45,285) I think its worth the extra $1075 imo as no aftermarket exhaust will match that built in functionality.

The only thing I can say positive is that the dual separate screens look better than the two iPads pushed together. Gives better dash symmetry and aesthetics which most people know is crucially lacking in the S650…. Oh and the dual cold air intake is kool. Not enough for me to get rid of my S550 premium though.

Good specs! Great to see the dual intakes! I suppose the short shifter add would make up - somewhat for not having the 6SPD tremec. As a "vintage" 2013 driver with the 6 speed... it is OK and it can be fun, though you do have to get it 100%, or it will LOCK YOU OUT!

The base has sync 4 the premium screen has sync 4a which isn't much difference but it does give you wireless apple car play and android auto vs you have to stay plugged in on the base

I definitely prefer the look of the screens being connected. But they are actually the exact same 2 screens either way. 12.4” digital cluster and 13.2” center stack. They just connect the 2 and frame it with magnesium in the premium.

The one thing I liked about my Mazda6 MPS (Mazdaspeed6) interior was that it was actually 'black'. Not sure why cars are all 'dark grey' these days. I don't want piano black - just the colour of the plastics to be darker. But that ipad screen is just goofy (not just the base model) - it's going to look dated so quickly... surely they could have styled / shaped it (they did this with the current model).

The base model 301 package has all the things my 2022 premium 401 package had except leather seats and is the same price. Take inflation into account and this car is cheaper. I sold mine when they offered me more than I payed for it. It’s gonna be so hard not buying one of these 😂

I'm planning on buying this car for sure but I'm worried because I live in Toronto Ontario Canada. Winters have gotten pretty rough over the years. Do you plan on making a video on how these cars run in the winter? Would love some information on this. For years, Mustangs have RWD mode which is bad for winters. I heard people will usually store stangs in the garage for the winter due to risk of rust from the salt, snow, ice.

The Dual Intakes are for the Gen 4 Coyote motors. The Dark Horse makes 500 HP. As far as tuning either will be a powerhouse.

Only if you get the performance package then your tires come bigger and wider, if you don’t select that option then you get the standard one’s premium or base (hoped that help)

probably - though "small" is relative ... top end specs are often staggered wheels, so you cannot rotate ever 5K miles, though they take care of that with "low wear summer sticky tires" - so you only really get about 15 to maybe 30K (if you baby them) and can run in "slicks". My 2013 GT has 19s, sport tires, yet they are also rated for 45K, which was way better than my old '02GT with 17s. They have good traction for daily driving - they can work in the cold (though they lose some below 40F) and I only drive in the snow IF I want to do donuts or I really, really, really know the road. Of course the 2024 is at least +60HP over my 2013 - not sure about the weight - I may have the advantage there! A BOSS suspension would be killer for my vintage. The Unicorn is the Mach 1 Mustang (late model) as a convertible..... we can all dream, right?
