Ford Maverick Snow Challenge: I got stuck

Testing the 2022 Ford Maverick with the new 235/70R17 Firestone Destination AT2 tires. The Maverick has made it out multiple times previously in 3"-6" of snow but this was a much more difficult test. For trying to get out of the driveway we tried sand mode, slippery mode, and normal mode but the driveway snow was just too deep and slick without shoveling.

Yeah i miss the island. Too cold here. Maverick wouldn’t have been a great island truck though, would bottom out places I would go surf :) Need the lifted truck there.

I have a 2023 Maverick FX4 with stock Pirellis. Haven't tried them in mud or snow yet but those Firestone's sure look like they can do a good job.

I live in upstate ny with my maverick. With the weight of the mav you need to put weight into the bed. I have put about 4 tubes of sand and have NO issues in snow. Great video though!

I've noticed it definitely does better with some weight in the back in the snow. Without it you can feel the back end get a little loose at times.

Thats actually pretty decent without, the tremor package. A lift kit, or snow tires.

The toughest driveway is one where you have to go uphill when leaving your home. Looks like that happened here, the Maverick did OK though!

Very true, the Maverick has escaped the driveway multiple times in anywhere from 3"-6" of snow but this time around it was just too much 😀

even an f150 without a locking differential would get stuck. My f150, doesnt have it and theres times getting through deep snow has been ugly. Lift kits and a locker are the only way.

You were getting high centered by the snow. That nothing to do with the AWD.

Subaru Outback/Forester/Crosstrek has a lower ground clearance and would easily go right through that

My 2wd with snow tires would have done better…. Once you drive with true snow tires you will never play with all seasons again.
