Great video -thank you. I've just done all four on my x type as they failed the leak off test following fuel pressure error code and occasional limp mode. Now running better than ever (at 191k!). Just watch out for the spacers that go into the hole in the main body of the injector body above the longer spring. They may not come out at first and then they may fall out when you're not looking....

Jerome Davies how many spacers are there above that long spring coz one fell out when I took mine apart...luckily though I saw it and put it back but I'm sure I saw another one land on the dog who was watching me I'm sure I saw something between her two ears...I told her to stay still but of course as soon as I said it she bolted...but I'm really not sure if it popped out of my injector or not...please don't tell me there's two up there coz I only put one back...what do yer reckon ?

I only had one -about 3.7mm long (I know because I had to make a new one!). When it was in place in its hole with the spring resting on it the spring projected from the hole by a mm or so. Hope that helps.

Jerome Davies thanks bruv I checked the others and there's only one little spacer up there....all my injectors are toast but I'm waiting for a new valve from China...I dunno if it'll work but it was only £22 so it's worth a try before I splash out £500 on a new set....cheers pal and good luck

Im the only one who saw that he forgot the last spring ? 4:10 spring lie on the carton.. BTW i think you should use torque wrench for tightening.

iq forget the spring lol. anyway after replacing any part of delhi injector you need to test the flow and to get new injector codes because flow is changed. and i think injectors should be tightened to 4kg.

Hi again, so i got back to have more problems with my injectors, the leak valve problem got fixed, with a lot of help from your video, THANKS! now i have another issue, I cleaned the injectors using this method but unfortunately the car works bad, starts very bad and after some minutes its dead again. I guess i need to perform a full clean in the injector because my fuel pump was damaged and released swarf or pieces of metal into the fuel system. And im here again asking for some help from you. By any chance did you made any video opening the top part of the injector or do you know any video doing that? Many thanks @Mario Stanciu

Once they are repaired, do you have to recode them?. I would have thought not if you put them back in the same order they came out.

Don't bother recoding them.....the code is a function of flow rate which can only be measured on specialist FIE equipment....it will still run better than before😎

its an injector control valve thats the correct term not called a return valve (even if it does return fuel its not called that) this is ok for a cheap easy fix but once you open it you have messed up the callibration but having said that you wouldnt care if you are doing it for a cheap fix would you. it wont last but it will improve it for a while

If it's only dirty - yes. If it's somehow broken - no... It's worth a shot I guess. Best would be to get one injector from scrapyard and try to disassemble it first.

@Immortal It is hard to tell... You can try test them (lots of videos on yt). You can look if there is any water in fuel filter. Or it could be bad fuel pump. Who knows..

Rowley Williams all my injectors are fucked so I brought a new valve...,a Chinese one .. £22 off ebay...it took a week to get here but when it did I replaced it ...and the good news is ..it worked So I've now ordered the other three and are waiting for them to get here...i was cussing like made thinking it's gonna cost me £600 for a whole new set but I've fixed them all for under a ton ....happy days

omar k I got them off ebay,I replaced the other three all at once,I should of done them one at a time,coz to cut a long story short,the car hadn't run since,me and my mate tried tow starting it,that didn't work and then I paid a mechanic £45 to try and get it started,he spent an hour fucking about withr it and he couldn't even get it started,he reckons they weren't opening,and gave up, The car is still standing on my drive and I ain't got a clue why it just won't fire up and go

I know they need to be recoded. Just asked he question. Maybe u put them in the wrong order from when they came out.. I dunno tho. Im sure i read somewhere that if u put them back in the same order they came out they dont need to be recoded. I'd lable each injector 1 to 4 and swap em round see if that works. Thats what i would have done.
