installing a android headunit into my Mondeo MK3 with the special frame specific to the MK3 which moves the climate control lower down and raises the headunit up.
eBay and Ali express sell this style headunit with the frame
for pre facelift and facelift models
mine was from a breaker so I can't vouch for any of these sellers. do your research and look for the cheapest well spec'ed one you can I believe most of them are unbranded.

Looks awesome n8 I had 1 in the focus ST but I’ve took it out and sold it my son he’s fitted it in his ST220 and it looks awesome in that but yea looks nice in yrs m8

Lo acabo de instalar igual este fin de semana. Tiene mucho trabajo cuando no sabes ni por donde empezar, pero el resultado es espectacular.

@@gianola.Hola, lo compré en Aliexpress. Sí, funcionan los mandos al volante. Inconveniente, tienes que "desmontar" mucho, pero el resultado es espectacular.

So I've seen these advertised on a website in the Uk... Is the skin something you've applied, or is that how it came? I appreciate you got yours from a scrapyard. How are you finding it 2 months on?

I think that's how most come. I have seen some being sold in a slightly lighter shade of grey. But watch this space coz I've done something else to mine. As for the unit it's been good. The only issue I have is the internal mic is very low ppl can't really hear me. There is a way to raise the mic level but it's in developer options which I can't seem to get into. So I just ordered an external one

It's been a long time since I had the factory sony unit. I would say it's the same. But it's not as good as the pioneer that I had before this one

I'm thinking of getting this modification for my Mondeo, but I was wondering if there is a way to get a USB stick working on it. I've read you already sold the car but can you remember if there was a USB port somewhere? Thanks!

Yes there are two usb ports.
