Do you need to lock the crankshaft doing this or is the 11mm bolt for the cam enough? Would it be easy to replace the crank seal behind the timing gear? Have you looked at what it would take to replace the valvecover gasket?

Hello and welcome it's up to you if you wanna change the front Crank oil seal if it's not leaking I'd leave it alone as for the rocker cover no I haven't done a video on it yet. I use tip ex on the Crank pully and use pins drill bit ect makes it easy for me ✌️

This will be my first time doing the timing belt etc.. I’ve also need to do my crank seal My question is do you need to lock the flywheel, & if so do you need to remove the starter?

when removing pully bolt do you put car in gear with brake on or nuetral no brake ?

If using a socket and braker bar I do in gear hand brake and with a bar on the brake if on my own or get customer to put on brake. Impact gun doesn't mater but I do leave in gear still

you have to lock the crank, under the starter, otherwise the timing is off. This method is wrong.
