I am in the middle of it, but your film helped me a lot. I was little surprised there is no circlip anywhere

Great video ! Really helped so I could have an idea to tell the garage what I thought the problem/noise would be . Unfortunately the discs were so worn they had to be replaced along with the pads so that the bearing ( just o/s) could be fitted . Thanks again for posting.

If you hear the bearing while ratating wheel by hand, they are worn as hell. Normally you hear them when wheel sre spinnig under the full load of a car. Nicely done 👍

Nice video! Helpful! Do you have a link of the tool you're using of assembly and disassembly of the bearing?
@terranceprice70064 ай бұрын
I bought the same kit but the silver plates would not fit the new bearing I had to grind a little off to get them to fit and when I wound the bearing back in I could not get the silver plates out. Not like the video shows, I have read on another posting of someone else having the same problem.

Where can i buy these pressing tool kit?
@SamBould5521 күн бұрын
Do you need to remove the abs sensor to do this ? The tool you used doesn't damage it when removing or pressing the new bearing into place ? From the video, you tighten the bearing all the way in ?

Good job Guy ;oP Is it possible to send the scan of the user manual of the tool used (the one presented in the video) in order to clearly see the installation according to the extraction or the insertion? Thanks in advance.

@krisu9182 жыл бұрын
Hi, you should replace that tie rod end if spinning like that.
@TeachDIY2 жыл бұрын
I have no problem with play, vibration or issues during cornering. Tie rod ends are just a ball and socket, sometimes they spin like that without needing replacing.

Gen 2, wheel bearing tool. From memory, I think it's an 82mm, but check yourself before you buy.

How much would this cost at a garage? Rough price?
@TeachDIY7 ай бұрын
Anything between £170 to £300. I spent £45 on the hub and £55 on the tool. Since then, I have used the tool once more, so the second time, I only spent about £45 for the bearing. You can get cheaper bearings, but I am not sure I would trust them.
