Hitting the button to the solenoid in 3. at highway speed makes it go in OD. A relay controller automatically controls your over drive so when you come to a complete stop or downshift it will shut OD off. So no chance of you accidentally leaving over drive on and damaging your transmission. Hopes this answers your question.

Mark you need to buy repacement shifter grip with button! Summit racing; TCI Auto 618008 - Replacement Outlaw shifter grips. Hope this helps!

So is this a change in the internals of the tranny or is this from getting that shifter in the video or is this from disabling overdrive

It's the valvebody! The type of shifter prevents overshifting. Note! MANUAL valvebody and solenoid operated OD.

Full manual valvebody! Non-lockup converter!!!. Auto reset overdive controller is optional. Freddy Brown performance transmissions helped me out!

I called Freddy Brown and he could custom build everything the way I wanted it at a very good price. Also it was easier for me to shop in the US rather than Canada. FB AOD can be used with "Auto reset overdrive controller". This means you can engage OD and not worry about remember to switch it off again. The controller will do it for you.

@@boosted_3478 my first AOD was a Lentech Street terminator w/o transbrake. It had a on/off el OD switch and you must remember to turn OD off when coming off the highway. The Lentech also had long 1/2 overlap at wot. Overall very good transmission and great customer service. I like the Freddy Brown better. Firm 1/2 shift and push to OD and forget...goes out of OD when you down shift. I called Freddy and he build exactly the transmission i wanted. Very good quality, price and exelent customer service.

What do mean by manual valve body?

The transmission will not shift by it self. It will stay in whatever gear you select. Also no engine brake in any gear.

It doesn't shift fast enough. Am I the only one that notices the extreme delay in between gears?

You must have an aode. The regular aod is non electronic and has no electrical connections.

Actually, it is an AOD. Im currently building an AOD like this one which has a lockout button/wire for OD. It turns it off an on. Thats whats going on here.
