For the ugly section: the fuse for the cigarette lighter blows pretty regularly. For the headlight knob, I recommend doing a metal one off ebay or from UPR, theyre prone to shattering the plastic knobs. For the tail lights, 99-01 mustangs are probe to having issues running LEDs in the tail lights, this requires ro wiring knowledge because it's not a simple resistor problem like most cars.

no wonder why my signals dont work when my lights are on lmaooo
@Talevar2 ай бұрын
@@ZiraTheZebra yeah my issue was no turn signals or brake lights if my running lights were on, it was a pain. Went back to halogen since I wasn't keeping the car and wasn't worth doing wiring work. If my next one has the same issue I'll fix it tho, LEDs are a must in clear tails imo, and that's what I'm going with

@@Talevar do you have any good forums or videos I can read up on? Bc I kinda wanna keep the LEDs in my clears 😂
@Talevar2 ай бұрын
@@ZiraTheZebra Not really tbh, it seems to be an issue most people don't talk about. One guy used a harness from the same year Ford ranger he had and it worked, but it didn't work for me. Another guy bypassed the circuit board and did custom wiring, but I'm no electrical engineer. Seems to be random

Finally a New Edge video. Used to have a 2000 V6, reliable ASF. Still not sure how people wreck them so much tbh. Want to drive a V8 sometime to see the difference. Driven an S197 V8 but diff chassis so can't really judge V6 vs V8 off that lol

I bought a 99 V6 with a manual for 5 grand to learn stick on. 50k miles, and absolutely zero rust anywhere on her. The T5 still shifts like it was made yesterday. I haven't had any major issues yet so overall I'm fairly happy with my purchase considering a GT in the same condition would have been way more money and i don't really need the extra horsepower for a car that's largely just supposed to let me get familiar with driving stick until i can save up enough for a coyote mustang 👍
@ChristopherSpence-z8b2 ай бұрын
I guess it all depends on where you are located because I just got a 02 gt with 100k miles for 4 grand it needs a paint job but other than that and 1 tear in the passenger leather seat it’s perfect

For the V6, the 3.8 L was changed to a 3.9 in 2003 and 2004. I honestly dont know why as ive never had one and havent cared enough to see why yet. If I ever go for a built V6 I may look into it. Mach 1 is a baby Cobra, its basifally half of the original Cobra motor in 99 and half of the Terminator motor from 03-04. Me personally I recommend it if you want a more reliable motor than the GT but dont want to shell out for a Cobra.
@that_3.9stangАй бұрын
The 3.9 only came in 04, if I remember ford ran out of the 3.8l v6 and threw in the 3.9, it also came in some vans/cars and some else like that but its basically the same thing in my opinion but the .1 bore, there rated at 190-193 hp, no hate on you but just wanted to help🫡🙏

Hey you used my car! Haha😅 I love new edge mustangs. I’ve had so many of these things! Basically every special edition once and every trim level. Live foxbodies too but there’s something about these new edges! I’ve owned them since they were still new cars. Back when a decent v6 was going for about 20k!

15:20 bruh I always find in decent shape mustang GT's for around $3k. You just named 4 cars that regularly sell for $6 - $8k or more. ESPECIALLY the 240sx, good fricken luck finding a 240sx in decent shape for mustang GT money. Crown vic's have the exact same engine and could be found everywhere, so when your mustang GT blows up you'll have a ton of different options to find another 4.6 modular. On top of it being an american car, so many parts will always be available locally. Almost all Mustang GT's come with clutch disc LSD's which make them great candidates for drifting. Granted those disc's might need to be replaced, but it'll be a much cheaper job to do than buying an LSD for a 350, g35 or 240sx that has an open diff. (granted you could weld it too nearly for free but why do that when you could get a car that already has one?)

It's not great for long trips but you can fit people in the back as long as they're under 6 foot, unless the people in the front are super tall. It's fine for short people like 5 5 tops, but tbh I'd treat it like the back of a extended cab truck😭
