Looks like a cold job despite the sunshine and engine heat: Faster you go the hotter the engine and quicker you get the cooling air past the knees! Aah the days of yore, ploughing like that without the Cab. No Seagulls following the plow ? Pray tell us, why you are happy to leave so much trash on the surface... disease carryover etc. In UK we chop up any top growth and use good skimmers to bury that trash. Greetings from Scotland

@@culmalachieThe plows we use are different than what is on your side of the pond. Not saying what we do is better, just different. In the USA this is considered too much coverage by most. I do watch a lot of videos made over there. Your plows are a very good design.

@@dschefers9700 Do you mean that you prefer t leave MORE of the Corn stalks showing? ... we use plows to bury trash and leave a disease free surface for the following cereal crop ( wheat barley oats). In the past we had many US designed plows: the Deere F145 & MF86 as examples I know of but still had disk + Skimmer rather than the standard US "Trash Boards" which often broke off. Arable land here gets ploughed properly at 8-12" deep and some go much deeper. Thin soils in the hills are lucky to have 6" cover! makes pancakes unless you have narrow furrow ( 10 to 12" ) now we tend to plough from 12" / 14" and then up to 16 or even 18" ... and that's another story!. THat's how the world turns over ! slainte mhath !

Man that is some big ford power! Does your 5000 have a turbo? My grandpa had a 7600 row crop and turned up to 115 and pulled a 4 bottom like that.

@@birdsnestfishing698 The 5000 has the factory motor without a turbo. it did surprisingly well with 4x18” plow. Thank you for the comment.
