I learned to drive a tractor on a 9600 ford when I was 7 years old. Dad would fork chopped grass off a flat deck wagon to the milk cows while I drove around in the pasture. Of course I couldn't push in the clutch but I could turn off the key. The first time he let me drive out through the gat I broke off a fence post. That was over 40 years now and I still love tractors today. Now to teach my grandkids.

I grew up in Ag from cattle ranching to row crop to pasture, to prarie haying, to orchards. We had a lot of brands of tractors; John Deere, Ford, Case, International, Farmall. I worked at a Ford tractor dealership when in college in the late 60's and early 70's, and I fell in love with the US 5000 general purpose. Sold a bunch of them, and got to demo and deliver: what a thrill for a farm boy. My next Ford down the line (not discounting the Jubalee) was the 6000 Ford with the select-o-speed 10 speed shift on the go. Loved seeing the 9700 at work, that monster can out after i had graduated and married.. Nice video, love the Fords!
