I both this, and a new Ford TOB installed but still have chirp when clutch pedal is pushed. Ive read I may need to adjust at the firewall to fix? Also have a 04 Mach 1

Yes, try to loosen up your cable by the firewall adjustment

My clutch fork has seems to be a plastic piece attached to it making it impossible to tighten the jam nut against the other nut. Your clutch fork doesnt have it. How did u remove it?

My clutch fork is an aftermarket McLeod and didn't have that plastic backing. Is that what you're talking about? Like a black, plastic section on the back of the fork? I think there's a nut you can remove and it drops the plastic piece, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to access it with the fork in the bellhousing. Do you have a dremel? I would remove the cable and try to dremel the back of the fork (the plastic side) and see if you can't thin the material down. If you can get the main nut started, can you get a long enough socket to work on the jam nut? Or is there too much thread for the socket to slide over?

@@OctaneSlain Yes. The black backing as you describe is what Im talking about. I think I should be able to remove that nut holding it on and ttake it off. thx

@@OctaneSlainThanks! Imma get back under there and see if I can unscrew that bolt that appears to be fastening that black plastic to the fork and hope that that black plastic backing comes off. Plan B will be the dremel option
