In My experience the Mt 82 tranny is good for stock applications or full bolt on, supercharged its time for a new tranny imo. I had a stock 21 gt and used to rip it and had no issues whatsoever with the stock tranny

I welded my diff for drifting and heard so much noise from the drive shaft being clunky. thank you for explaining that as it pinpointed the problem, replacing it for single piece should improve that

I think mine there is no leak at all, however, the steering wheel is so heavy, so I believe it is the pump, and I will do the same. What do you think?

What about the transmission filter ? Cuz i wanna flush my fluid but im concerned about the filter as well
@OctaneSlain
@OctaneSlain 23 күн бұрын
It's not necessary under 100k miles, since trans fluid isn't subjected to hydrocarbons like motor oil, so the trans filter literally only catches metal shavings from the trans itself and it's clutches. It's still good practice to change them, even earlier than 100k (nothing wrong with preventative maintenance) but a good fluid flush will suffice. The filter change requires you to drop the transmission pan, replace the filter, then replace the pan gasket, then add new fluid

There are lift points under the engine and in the rear to lift from the center of the car with a floor jack. The lift points are hard rubber. Makes lifting the front and back a LOT easier than lifting from the side.

@@OctaneSlain thank you! and yea man when i seen it pop up on marketplace i had to get it! it wasn't as close as yours was to you or as pretty but i think it was worth the 3 hour trip to go get it. the price does come at a downfall previous owner said its not getting full boost and was getting the 30FF code if you stepped on it, so i babied it home without getting into boost and no CEL for the entire trip (around 130 miles) earlier today found a vacuum line that was literally disconnected from the turbo boost solenoid haven't been able to fully test it yet again since reconnecting that line on a highway or getting into heavy boost but it does feel like there's more power than there was on my drive back with it. and as far as the oil goes thank you for confirming what i thought going to put my orders in to do a fresh oil change make sure everything is good.

@@blanksify Boost Solidnoids are failing they fail slowly and also check hose to turbos and inspect turbo vacum canisters.. If you have down pipes utilize Shell Rotella t6 varying weights suggested the metal and detergents in the Shell Rotella T6 will help clean up the internals with every change. Now the fuel system use Shell gas due to thier fuel having lubricant in it. If you can't get shell a big bottle of lucus injector cleaner and drop 4oz in gas tank every 30 days. Regular gas will dry out injectors so they need lubrication. Do all you general maintenance seals and reservoir tank and Mickey Mouse(thin hose runs across behind fan a little bit .. straw. notorious for breaking. The cooling system is the Nemisis for these cars... so slowly replace all coolant hoses.
