Very nice weather outside - perfect for car maintenance. Thanks for great video!

The metal is from the metal fuel nozzle clashing with the metal filler tube. It happens on all cars with metal filler tubes.

Nice video! Your diesel is clean! Here in the Philippines, we change our fuel filters every 6 months! 6 months of use looks like it ran about 150,000!

To clear a couple of things up. The fuel filter is before the injector pump and the filings are from the fuel filler nozzle at the servo

with the Ranger there is a Fuel Return line on the High pressure fuel pump and the injector have leak of pipes aswell that return , i would say it's minor injector pump wear & external contaminants.
@jimnyjaye5281Ай бұрын
@abdautomotive Yes, but if the injector pump spat any metal close to what's in the fuel filter the injectors would be dead. For it to bypass the injector to go through the system and end up back in the filter without destroying the injector in the process is impossible.
Good video thank-you. With my car, I can prime just 3 times at around 30 secs a go with no issues. Cheers

Love your content ❤, very helpful and makes me feel like I can buy a ranger as soon as now

That’s interesting, I wonder if running some fuel conditioner like flashlube or something would lubricate the hi pressure pump and reduce that wear. I doubt any of those particles are from the lift pump in the tank I would think they just have a plastic impeller. I like your videos 👍

This glitter is th HPFP chewing its self. It means it not having enough lubrication. Best to use some sort of lube to add to fuel. I add a liter of tcw2 - two stroke oil to 80liter full tank it seems to make the HPFP and injectors quite and happy.

Hey mate my everest 3.2L is blowing blue smoke on start up until it warms up. What do you think it night be? I'm on 150000km
@abdautomotiveАй бұрын
potentially the turbo seals , what sort of service history does it have? EGR still in operation?
@LegitimatelyAxeLАй бұрын
@abdautomotive no egr no dpf no adblu. My mechanic is thinking glow plugs and injectors together as neither have been done, thoughts? Should he consider turbo seals? Serviced regularly.
@abdautomotiveАй бұрын
@@LegitimatelyAxeL im still on factory glow plugs at 370k on my px1 and no smoke , injectors would be black smoke and they should be good till 200k at least , blue smoke generally means oil burning, i would consider the turbo.
@LegitimatelyAxeLАй бұрын
@abdautomotive is it possible if it's mostly on start up?

I always change my fuel filter every 10.000 and the old filter always looks clean not black??

Geez, don’t let the Toyota religious zealots see a Ranger with 370’000 klms on it. They might have a meltdown.
