You can also use a 168 or 194 bulb for the third brake light. I put a red LED 194 in mine, and it's very bright.

Some people like to call incandescent, incandescent, because that's what it is. Halogen is completely different from incandescent. But ty for your video.

Just finished doing the same things.. finished tail lamps ,headlamps, license plate, and added billet grill

The change was that you opened the door. And then the light came on. If you try to use the toggle switch without the key on then the bulb won't come on unless you open the door. That's what the change was.

Your headliner has the unmistakable signs of water leakage through the third brake light gasket. I know because it happened to me ('06 Mazda).

Just put a 912 sylvania led on the dome light of my ford ranger. I love it. Way brighter

I have an '05 Ford ranger base model, it has the same light but it doesn't have the switch to turn it on/off. I noticed you were able to turn the light on even with the door closed. What control is doing that for you? I can only turn the light on if the door is open.

Should be a slider (the dimmer) by the lights, just slide it up so that it clicks after making it as bright as possible

If you haven't figure it out yet, for my 2010, you need to increase your dashboard light all the way up to open the cabin light.

looked like you kept putting in the bulb the same way. i don't know why you would take it out with your right hand look at it and put it in the same way. just pull rotate it in your hand and put it back in. operator error !!! lol good funny video j/k

Your door ajar switch is bad if you haven't figured it out yet. $10 on Amazon, or you can try cleaning it with WD-40

I simply loosened the dome cover on mine a couple minutes ago and it mine came back to life. Not sure how that happened, maybe I unknowingly bumped it, but it worked out. I do like the idea of replacing it with LEDs though.
