This is an update to the original Ford Raptor Overland Build video. We've changed some things and upgraded others. The new RV Starlink Wifi setup is awesome if you need internet where there is no service! More to come on the iKamper Sky Camp 3.0 after we use it more.. We also had an unwanted Rattlesnake in camp wanting to attack our dogs in the middle of the night!

This is great stuff! Thanks for sharing. I'll use some of your ideas. And your wife, she may not say much, but she's lovely. And she loves camping too. Lucky guy, all the way around. 🙂 One question. Did you have to do something extra to the Raptor suspension to handle all that weight without sagging? I'm getting a new vehicle in 2025, and am leaning towards a 37 Raptor and putting an RSI Smartcap on the bed, a popup tent over that, though I am considering a Diamondback HD bedcover instead of the RSI, streamlining the rooftop tent on top more, but concerned I won't have enough storage, so we'll see. Oh, I did just see a vid the other day of a customized Yukon AT4 suv, lifted 3" higher, 35 tires slightly offset, and all the stock suspension replaced with high performance offroad suspension, that got my attention so I am thinking about that too, then I'd just put the popup tent on top and need no bedcover or bed cap. We'll see. Wish I could jump in that cool lake right now. Lol. I love that Starlink. Could truly take my home office fully mobile with that one.

it would be wise to run a relay for that light bar in the front, the wiring is fairly simple and its just a little time consuming, use the the switch as the trigger for the relay.

You probably figured this out by now but the Starlink has a “sleep” feature that turns the dish off for whatever period of time you indicate.

I've been looking at that exact tent and have the original ACS like you do, but I think the awning I have sits a bit higher and I'm worried that the opening angle might interfere with it. The starlink is super cool kit! I would give you grief just like you said on your video but if you're running a business or whatever that's reason enough. I would definitely sacrifice a bit of my vacation to do work to stay on vacation a bit longer. You mention a dirt bike but man on a lake like that an old stand up jetski would be absolutely perfect!

Just run an appropriately rated relay for your light bar as 1 & 2 switch are only good for 15A. Nice setup, I have a 2019 802A Ruby Red Metallic Supercrew and want to set mine up for overlanding, I have all the Baja Design lights, 5 gallon water purifier like you have, however I still need everything else. LOL! Only 35,xxx miles on mine Great video!

Nice truck man! They make such good overlanders. And yeah, I should have used the harness that came with the light bar..

Big fan of your channel. It's funny because we both have very similar builds, and have made many of the same gear choices. My rig is a Platinum F-150 that I 'Raptorized' (Fox shocks and 35's). Anyway, with regards to the Fridge/battery duo.... I have the exact same setup. I love the Jackery but I've come to the realization that the 1000 is undersized mated to the 75qt Dometic. If you move each day, the truck keeps it topped off; once you go 2 consecutive nights without moving, it's a problem. I have 2 of the Jackery solar panels, and even with good sun, they cannot keep up with that fridge. I was thinking about upgrading the Jackery to the 2000. Thoughts?

Thanks man. Your truck sounds awesome! This was the first time the Jackery didn’t keep up for us. Still wondering how it would have done if I hadn’t left the Starlink running that first night. Bummed to hear the second solar panel hasn’t kept yours topped off. I’m sure the Jackery 2000 would do the trick but an expensive upgrade. Might be the only option though. We’re headed back to the river one more time, I’m taking a small gas generator to keep everything from draining since it’s just a beach camping trip. Still planning to buy the second solar panel for our trail trips though.

@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel Expensive indeed. One of the things Jackery addressed with the 2000 is speed of charging, and capacity for more solar. So we’ll see. I’m only just getting into comms now, thinking GMRS. Any advice? I’d rather not have to get my master’s in ham communications.
