It’s possible you have a bad sensor. Will it start the process or does nothing happen at all?

EXACTLY the video I needed sir. Thank you. I just put new Michelin MS/2’s on my F350 SRW and the guy at tire shop said “you’ll have to drive it a little for TPMS to reset”. Clearly he doesn’t understand SuperDuty’s which is impossible to believe here where I live since this is everyone’s daily driver. Anyway. Nope. They didn’t reset on their own. Followed your procedure and it worked like a charm. You are right. It pays to have an air compressor! Thanks for the video. I needed it at the moment of need.

Learning something new each day... Excellent tutorial and video! Now, I need to learn to use Forscan to lower the PSI standards since the warning light is constantly on with 55 psi front & 60 psi rear~ rides so much better! Please make a video on using Forscan to make this change. Looking forward :)

All of the work trucks that I drive are this generation of F-250 and every single one of them except for like three have the tire light on clearly because of just switching tires between trucks, so thank you

My 2017 F250 has a recent Tire pressure monitor fault. Told maybe it's the monitor itself located in the headliner rear passenger area. Gonna try this first.

Right on. Hope it works out. It can be temperamental for sure. I’ve had to redo the entire process 2-3 times before to get it to read all 4 sensors.

If you swap tires/wheels from one truck to another does this process still work to resync the new set of tires and pressure gauges?

That’s a good question, that I have not yet addressed. Couldn’t hurt to give it a shot.

You mentioned you’d be doing a video about changing the TPMS thresholds in Forscan, but I don’t see it in your list. I went into Forscan and lowered my thresholds, but now the TPMS just shows “---“ on all 4 tires. I found a forum where someone said they had the same problem, and fixed it by dropping a few PSI out of each tire, but I tried that with no luck. Did you experience that? If so, how’d you fix it?

You are correct, I was gonna make a video and then life got ahold of me and I sold the truck before it happened. I lowered my pressures to 50 front and back. I didn’t experience the -- symptom. Have you been back in your verify the setting took?

When i try to train my left rear tire, there is no honk, I made sure the pressure was up where it needed to be before I tried em all. Would that be a faulty sensor?

That’s possible, but unless the tire has been changed or it’s really old. I’ve had a few occasions where one tire would not train. What typically do is over inflate the tires and start over. It’s taken as many as 3 tries.

It should be the same system. Key on, hit hazard switch 3 times and the horn will honk. Then you can go through the learning process.

Which warning light? If you mean the TPMS light, this reset will take care of that. In normal circumstances of a low tire just adding air to the tire will be sufficient.

How hard is it with the tpms working when you swap with new (take off) oem super duty wheels? I have a basic XL and going with some platinum 20" wheels a local guy has. Can I do this myself?

From my understanding you should be able to swap. You would follow the pairing procedure and the truck will recognize them.

As far as I know yes. I have heard from other comments that the newer trucks, 23+ are easier to set.

Just did this to my 2017 F350 and the light/monitor say rears to low? Do I have to take it up to 80PSI? Was doing 65 front and 70 rears. Took it to 72 and still says low. Do you have to do what it says on the door post?

If you haven’t adjusted the settings in Forscan then yes you have to adjust to the door pillar pressure. I adjusted the settings on my truck so I can run as low as 50psi. Though I run 60psi front and back 90% of the time. When towing heavy I’ll push the rears up to 80psi.

Yup. It seems they have made improvements to the newer trucks, but this system has been around for awhile now. Some people say they get away with not performing the relearn but so far it hasn't worked for me.

Lol fords are literally the easiet to reset the tpms, your problem is doing this without the proper tool

Not true, I have the Motorcraft tool and I cannot get the system to connect now I have to go to Ford. Sometimes it’s a software glitch, I’m trying to activate TPMS’ on tires that came off a new F 150 where customer wanted new rims and meats these had 3 mi on them, TPMS were brand new.
