The starter circuit one is a good one Sandy, I had that the other week after changing the fuel filter on a friday at 4.45 pm , 6.50 pm it was running again , modern crap , the old ball bearing trick , not done that for a while , liked it when he said number 1 from the last engine , and then number 4 from the engine before that 😂😂😂😂, great testing👍👍

You don’t happen to work in Ayrshire area got a mk7 that won’t start after fitting new glow plugs. I had to remove fuel rail to get behind manifold cover now no fuel at the injectors when trying to start any ideas.

Could it have been edc blown mosfet happened twice with my mk6 transit just stopped all lights came on, I believe it was 1664 code for none communication to pump module 35quid on ebay to repair at the time

Great video. Couldn't you have done a leak off test to find the leaking injector ? I have seen this problem too on vehicles with remaps where they don't log any dtc and it makes diagnosis a nightmare.

It was a train fitter at Glasgow queen street that told about that trick when he used to work on trucks so as to get them home from Aberdeen etc blank off the bad injectior and discount electrically. Just used ball bearings from a bike wheel! Good to hear from you Stephen, hope your well, God Bless, Sandy

Hi Sandy, great videos , do u think the ball bearing trick will work on my transit 2012 euro5 its right down on power it runs good on idle, I've checked everything and replaced the Scv valve and the fuel filter the throttle response is very slow, I'm suspecting not enough fuel or too much fuel is getting through. I've checked on my Forscan all the fuel pressures they all seem fine.. Cheers Paul

Does it have a dpf in the exhaust? Could be back pressure or EGR stuck partially open

@@sandyande it's all been deleted, thinking an injector maybe over fueling, there is also a strong fume from it, I'll probably need to get them tested...

I having a similar issue but with new injectors it all started when I changed the leak off pipe I rings because they were the wrong size now the van won't build any pressure?

Bonjour j'ai un ford transit de 2002 le 2.0 tddi je l'ai depuis 2 ans ( je precise la pompe a gasoil vp44 a ete changer par l'ancien propriétaire il fait par un garage 2500€ de facture) roulait nickel jusqu'à l'autre jour j'ai le voyant prechauffage qui clignote et l'autre a côté aussi le moteur a perdu la puissance et y la calé j'ai réussi a redémarrer j'ai fait 100 mètre et a refait la même chose et puis il refuse de démarré. Un ami a moi est venu avec son outil de diagnostic obd et il a trouvé 4 code défaut p0149 p1563 1664 p0335 puis les effacé et le véhicule a démarré le code p0149 est resté ne c'est pas effacé je l'ai amene chez moi a 1 km et aucun soucis. Le lendemain j'ai démarré nickel et j'ai fait 1km et le voyant prechauffage et l'autre a clignote encore, perte de puissance et arrêt moteur j'ai réussi a le redémarrer j'ai fait 5km ma refait encore j'ai redémarré j'ai fait 5 et encore cette puis apres eu du mal a redémarrer j'ai réussi a arriver à la maison je l'ai éteint j'ai redémarré cash aucun soucis. Le lendemain j'ai démarré et au bout de 20 secondes a cale seul j'étais a l'arrêt et il refuse de démarré maintenant meme au start pilot j'ai changé le filtre a gasoil et rien j'ai mis un nouveau et j'ai purger la vis du filtre et j'ai regardé le gasoil il y a comme des boules car tout ça met arrivé apres avoir fait le plein dans une station avant roulait tres bien voila si vous pouvez m'aider Merci d'avance
