Hi just watched your video about the transit tough key. I changed my fob just for aesthetics as it was a crew cab and a bit knocked about. Ordered a rep 3 button fob off flee bay changed the board over and because the chip is on the board and not the blade simply took it to my local timsons got the new blade cut to the old blade jobs a good en works perfect. Just for those people on a budget

Noticed that the vehicle didn't sound the horn during the lock unlock cycle with the new key like it did with the original one. Is this a comfort customisation per key. My old BMW allowed different settings for the keys.

Hi there. I’m having a problem with my door. I changed the battery on the cab of my 2011 transit. Ever since the door sounds like it unlocks but it won’t open. It has happened to both front doors but rear doors work fine. Have you any ideas of what might be going on ? Would really appreciate your advice!

Can you actually open the cargo area up with the key? (I mean if the fob buttons are not working.) Thanks

You can Geoff, you have to put the key in the ignition and turn it to light up the dash and press the unlock button on the door twice. Trust me it’s a ball ache if you work out of the back of the van like I do.

@@tonytrott353 that's very helpful. I'll try it in the morning, I just couldn't find a way to do and there are people on the internet saying it can't be done without a working fob. Much obliged Tony.

@geoff4822 i unlocked my cargo door by simply pressing the unlock button in the door panel ( 2 clicks) without the key in the ignition.

Put the key in the drivers door and unlock the vehicle. All doors unlock. I'm not sure but this could be a setting in the menus to do that or not with the door lock.

@@steven-k7j7v thanks but you have to press the little button on the inside of the driver's door to open the cargo area doors. Someone told me 3 years ago.
