Thank you for making this, have been looking into this since my old ignition lock barrel was changed and thrown away by the previous owner, and it doesn't work with the same key. So glad I finally found some kind of advice/tutorial on how to do this.

Great video , took my old one out and unassembled it to write the numbers down . On mine had to put in position 1 to get the pin to push in to remove and replace from the ignition housing. Cost me £90 for a new lock much cheaper than waiting for it to completely fail. So cheers again saved me a few hundred quid 👍

Just did it. Would have been lost without it.I matched it with excising numbers. So much easier, other than the kit didnt have 4. 4 only 4.3 etc. Still worked. Please not. When pulling the key out. The pegs cant be depressed. I was holding it tight so the pegs didnt pop out. Hold it slack in the hand, so key comes out. It will make sense to anyone doing it. Thank You

Brilliant thank you. Just to speed things up can you write down which number clip comes out of which slot and simply replace with that number or does that not work? A video on getting the barrel out of the car would be good as well ❤

Yes I’m afraid it might be quite tricky to remove mate , may need drilling out

Hi mate its me again 😂, ive got a customer in next week with Transit, he went away and someone tried stealing the van ,snapped a spider key in barrel 😳, i know to remove the barrel you need a key and turn it to press pin,what shall i recommend him if i cant remove barrel fo you think? New steering lock and ignition?

Arr what a pain! Yeah you may be able to drill it out , I’ve had to do it before , just pre worn him it may need a full new lock / barrel if you can’t get it out
