@@Martysworkshop it was actually the only info that was clear about this topic, I did do some hour or more of searching the net, and there's no other clear info explaining this rather strange design, looking at the gearbox I understand the placement of filling hole for serviceability but it's quite unorthodox to use volume and/or special really special tool of some kind to measure level, it seems rather or almost impossible. Haynes, autodoc and a few others stated correctly 2,2l but several others stated as per tradition fill to hole. (3 liters +) So it didn't add up at all. So again big thanks🙏, now the broken gearbox is replaced with a low mileage used one, running great with correct lubrication. hi . my oil level is 10mm under the hole . can i just leave it or would you take it down to 21mm?

I would leave it if it was me tbh, you probably only have a bout 50ml too much

There is no interval that I know off but renewing the oil every few years can only help prevent transmission wear.
