Checking the construction... Advantech subfloor bonded to a polyiso layer, with no support ribs? I'm a big guy and I'm concerned that my 240lb frame will eventually compress the insulation, making the floor uneven. Love the idea of a drop in solution, but need reassurance. Thanks for the great content!

We do offer an insulation only option if you’re concerned. It’s easy to modify and can be used as your template for a wood sub floor above. I’ve never had an issue with weight on our floor. I put pallets of roof racks in my van with no issues. I’m 200 lbs and I don’t feel it flex. If you’re available to come to an AVE show you should come see it in the van first yourself.

This looks like a super time saving system thats well thought out with mucho attention to details.! Very nice. My question is, do you sell the rear metal trim piece at the end of the floor at the rear doors separately ?
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
We offer the trim set as a stand alone product but not just the rear trim at the moment.

@@AVCRIG OK thanks for the info. Is the set listed to purchase someplace we can check it out?

Can the added L track be used to add seating in a cargo van? If so, how is the L track anchored for accident security?
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
There are folks who do install seats on L track. It can absolutely be done safely. We do not do L track seating so I can’t offer advice on right way to do it.
@MotoMatt4182 жыл бұрын
Would this work smoothly on a Crew version where there’s a second row of seating?
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
We offer a crew version of the floor routed for 2 and 3 bracket factory setups.

What's the approximate RF value? What wood do you use plywood or birch? ON the DYI is it in segments are they individually separated or do you have something to join them together for a snug fit to make one whole piece?
@AVCRIG3 жыл бұрын
R value is around 4.5-5 on average. Since there are no dead spots in the insulation it feels warmer than something firred with wood. (No thermal bridging). The floor is an engineered wood material from Heber wood products. It has a moisture barrier applied at the factory (the green stuff). We do not use the floor for any type of retention so we do not need the strength of birch. Check out our video of the install process for seam details. You could always install L track at the seams if you wanted.

That's nice, but $2K for precut floor insulation??
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
It's insulation, sub floor, a new step and new trim to cover the whole floor at the edges.

Great presentation, but please get rid of the music. Besides being annoying and distracting, the music makes it hard to always hear what you are saying.

I have zero interest in this for a camper van situation. Even though I wish it was. My actual interest is because I’m an interior trim carpenter. This is the perfect starting point and quality for my Mobil workshop if I decide to purchase a Ford Transit van.

Excellent! We do lots of trades/mobile shops. Let us know when you land on a van. Thanks for watching.
