love your videos over here in ireland - very instructive thank you. do you stick with one thickness gasket paper for most of your Major jobs? we have Flexoid gasket paper here in UK but variety thicknesses available. Good man, Thank you

The gasket paper I use is a 0.8mm thickness. I get it in a 1000mm by 500mm roll as this is long enough to do the rear casing top gasket under the hydraulics. So far it has worked well on all the gaskets I have made.

This item doesn't transfer large forces so I used silicon seal instead of paper.

There is a small indentation/cylinder that the sping goes in to place pressure on the ball bearing that goes on top of the spring. It can be a bit fiddly

@@fixingfordsonsaustralia6632 OK thank you very much I have fixed it now I had to get a friend to hold the ball bearing and spring down while I pushed the ram in but its all good now thanks again friend 👍

The spring goes into a recessed cylinder and puts pressure on the ball bearing to create pressure/friction when engaging the shaft
