This round-trip is by far one of my favorite runs, on this specific day the forecast was for perfect weather all day with no precipitation. Conditions were great until Kamloops on the Coquihalla Highway to my first stop. Just before I left Kamloops the conditions rapidly deteriorated and the whole drive to Kelowna was in rather poor winter conditions. Conditions had cleared up by the time I was ready to leave Kelowna and were fantastic all the way back except a surprise bit of snow covered roads between Britton Creek and Box Canyon.
Many of the Highways featured in this video are featured on the TV Show Highway Thru Hell.

Good video, especially for me as I'm thinking of getting back into trucking after a 25 year absence (working oil & gas offshore). I live in the Okanagan, so parts of this route would likely be my bread & butter. Out of curiosity, what radio channel are you tuned into to hear warnings from othe drivers? All of my 2-way radios are programmed with the British Columbia Resource Road Channels and a bunch of popular frequencies from the Alberta oil patch. Cheers!

You want to have LAD1 for sure, that's what we all usually monitor. Then if we're chatting we'll move up to LAD 2, 3 or 4.

@@TruckBC Thanks for the quick response. LAD1 is what I normally switch to when leaving the FSR's at my claims up north, but from speaking with truckers up there they often said that they tune into an old popular channel from yesteryear which isn't on the official BC spectrum. I can't remember which one, but I believe it's still used in the oil patch. Anyway, LAD1 it is then. Thanks for your help.

You could blow this channel up with a little narrative. Those tow truck operators "Highway through Hell" are benefitting from it. You drive this all the time and could really give good advice to truckers everywhere how to handle mountain driving. Look at "Riding shotgun" on KZbin this is a good channel. Mike has been driving in the mountains for years and gives great advice, you could too. Think about it. You could make a little money.

Thanks for the comment! Voice over narration is definitely coming in the future!
