Can you tell me why the formula starts with 1/n for error calculation (MSE,MAD,MAPE) but the 1/n never comes into play when you are applying? Where n is the number of time periods?

hi, n is the number of observations. when we use the 'average' function in excel, that is basically dividing by n.

Hi! For the test sample, will not the dynamic forecast value change? (as the average changes with each dynamic forecast)

depends on the time series... in moving averages at some point it becomes the same and no new data are used as inputs.
