Dave Mackinnon, threat, losing him sales, or the local golf ball finder, doing him out of money. Other death threat option, is the bigger golf ball suppliers, fearful of them losing sales nationwide, due to everyone jumping on the free golf ball bandwagon, all tongue in cheek. Remember this one too, I really did think, one of you would slip into the ditch. Would have been KZbin gold, but not as funny as when Liam went for a swim in the pond, now that was funny, and smelly.

I once played with an old guy in Myrtle Beach SC USA which has marshy swampy areas. I hit my shot in the crap and proceeded to kind of walk toward the bog when I heard the old guy say to me "Son, you are not necessarily the top of the food chain in there. Might just leave that ball where it is if you don't want to meet an untimely demise!" I still think about that before venturing into the wild for a $2.00 ball! Fun to have this Gold channel Really enjoying it!

In the UK we have Adders but they are not usually life threatening. Like a bee sting, no problem unless you have an allergic reaction to the sting/venom. If I played in the USA there are so many nasties in their country I think a sound plan would be to take two dozen spare balls 😂

Started doing this about 2 years ago, I bought a big UV torch off Amazon for about £12 as did my son-in-law. We play in the evening and after the game we walk 2 or 3 holes collecting balls. We often take the grandkids who have great fun finding balls at 20p a shot (I'm not against child labour lol). Whereas my balls are not technically free to the 20p per ball child labour costs they are massively cheap. We keep the premium balls, grandsons who play golf a little get the next tier down and the old or budget balls we just give away. But I highly recommend doing this. Not on my course of course as you would put my grandkids out of a job.😅

Very good Liam. This year I recovered no less than 500 balls ( 1500+ in my storeroom ) but I would always throw a dozen balls into the junior bags of the families who struggle. I started collecting during Covid and bought egg trays that hold 30 a tray. Pro Vs are 30% AD333 20% Srixon Distance 30%. On my shed white board there is 72 separate makes and models found. My best ball is a Slazenger 1 Old dimple SEVE It was spotless . Framed with his silhouette punch the air as the frame I made for my office wall. Game we play among mates of "Lucky Bag" rules are 3 balls from the 1970/80s ( childhood era) that's your gaming ball for the day. So wound rubber old dimple.. great crack...

I don’t want to hunt about in the dead of night for balls, but I don’t mind coming out of the rough with someone else’s when looking for mine ( usually go in with a prov and come out with a pinnacle)😢😂. You fellas are spoiling it for me, there’ll be nothing left for me to pick up!

I did two summers working on my local course when I semi retired 10 years ago. I still have over 100 Pro Vs in the garage and gave away well over a 100 to my pals. The driving range was next to the 18th fairway and OOB !!

On a pay as you play course near me there were 5 x 9 hole layouts. On one of them I would often tee off 5:30 ish and be the last person out. There were a few copses where I’d be hitting into so would always stop and hunt around. In a couple of trips I found over 50 golf balls. Play other courses and I find as many as I lose, the only brand I struggle with is Srixon. So often these only last me 1-2 holes unless it’s the Z star model. One of my regular partners only plays with one model if ball so everything he finds I also get

My local courses has local boys around the course collecting lost balls. Then on the 17th Tee you can buy bags of 12 balls for $12. 90% of the balls look brand new. I even have the boys bringing good Callaway balls to my house.

I believe (never tried it however) that the ultra violet effect would show nalls under water (in clear water) Failing that put the light under water to avoid surface reflection.

The guys who dive the lakes and find thousands are the ones who make serious money. The debate about Lake Balls is old. In my experience with the two piece balls eg not urethane any long spell in the water doesnt make any difference. With the urethane balls it makes a massive difference, they just dont go as far. But as i say thats only my experience. Balls found in the rough are 100% better for the urethane ones at least. I think the UV light is a good idea but i will stick with a Mag Lite personally. Great video

Most courses around here wouldn't allow night hunters due to the liabilities and risk of injuries. We tend to look in the rough for other balls whenever we're there.... which unfortunately, is far too often, LOL

I never buy golf balls, I volunteer at a course in the states so I play free every day I can and usually find anywhere from 50 to 259 balls a day. The most I found in one day is 7 hundred. I keep all the prov1s and sell the rest. 10 dollars a dozen for premium balls and 5 for nice other brands. Then all the others are sold as range balls to driving ranges. I love the thrill of finding them, it's like an Easter egg hunt. Lol
