This should be agreed to if the United States extended it. But as quid pro quo, the federal government must demand for military aid in multi-millions, if not billions, military cooperation that includes top-notch security training of our personnel and improved military intelligence sharing that will help us decimate and crush boko haram and other existential security yhreats to Nigeria. I do not understand why Prof Jibrin is citing Rusian base in Niger as a consideration. I think it is in our short and long term interest if we can negotiate a fair agreement and exit strategy in the arrangement.
