Foreign Object Damage?! Better Check This Out.

Hey, Joe here! Word from Forced Performance is my turbo failure was caused by Foreign Object Damage. Something went through the turbine. Now I have to figure out what it was!

Man, I checked it all AGAIN. Nothing. Car has been on the dyno at 53 psi now. Seems fine.

Looks like perhaps the egr hole in the exhaust Port was tapped for a plug that is no longer there. If so, Maybe that plug came loose and went thru the turbo.

I noticed this as well. However, the EGR ports was tapped on the manifold side and I used it for EMAP at one point. Then, I plugged it on the manifold side for this new setup. So that can't be it. UNLESS!!! My plug on the manifold side somehow got sucked through to the exhaust port side? I don't see how.... it was threaded in there tight.

Well you didn't find any smoking gun, but in a way that could be considered a good sign. Nothing catastrophic in the head or combustion chamber so hopefully it was just a freak occurence. Maybe some junk that was on the track? All I know is that Britney appears ready to send once the new turbo arrives from FP.

I got that same camera, I think it's a depstech if I remember correctly. very clear for 40 bucks!

Did you checked all the manifold runners solders ?

Welds were and are very clean.
