While, yes, Lou had a peak with his voice.... Kelly has had it, and kept it, and is STILL sounding amazing!

Actually, Kelly is not singing higher than Lou if you listen to the show from Dortmund. You have to remember, Lou was a rock singer. His voice was electrifying and powerful, when you listen to the tracks side by side, Kelly's notes sound cleaner, but less emotive and certainly more hollow. Kelly sounds more like a pop singer. Also, Lou's vocal peak was in 1978. His voice was golden then, he had a cleaner, less strained sound. All the partying touring and drugs took a toll on his voice in the 80s

I really do hate to say it and be disrespectful, but I do think Kelly is much better than Lou. He can sound like Lou, but go much higher and remain singing rather than screaming.

I watched Lou's version of this song 1st...Kelly is much better. It sounded like Lou was screaming rather than singing the lyrics. Greats
