There also are many people who are blonde, blue or green-eyed, and all shades of beige. There aren't many black people in north México, but in the south there are plenty. Most of us are mestizo and come in all shapes, sizes, and hair, eye, and skin colors. My brothers and sons, for example, are all 6 ft tall.

What makes you say that? Most European cuisines with a tradition of baking have a version of apple pie (to give just two examples, apfelstrudel and tarte tatin). The English version is specifically "Bramley apple pie". Besides, I prefer crumble :P At best, we can say it's "not American" because there were definitely apple pies being made in Europe before America was colonised. But apple pie is still a huge part of American cuisine and their national identity, a bit like how curry is a big part of British cuisine and identity, but clearly didn't originate in the UK.
