Foreigner travel in India: more BIG mistakes NOT to make. Travel in India can be difficult as a foreigner as it's a complex country. You're bound to make travel mistakes. I've made plenty of these myself while traveling this beautiful country as a foreigner. Since 2015 I’ve been traveling around and currently I’m even based in India. Preparing travel is a crucial element of having a good time in a new country. So I made a video sharing the BIGGEST mistake so you don’t have to make them too. I got such good responses on that video I decided to make a part 2. Here are more BIG travel mistakes to not make in India as a foreigner. You can find part 1 here: • FOREIGNER travel in IN...

Travel Vlog Iv is a travel and food video channel. I'm Ivana, nice to meet you! You'll find travel and food videos on this channel because I like to take you along while exploring the world. These videos hopefully make you excited to travel and eat food around the world as well. There's such a joy in getting out of your comfort zone and growing as human being by traveling to new places and eating delicious food you've never tasted before.
I'm currently based in Bangalore because India is my favourite country in the world. Travel in India is kind of my thing but I've been al over the world. Just check these playlists to begin your journey with me: bit.ly/2l4sMk4
FAQ's:
Q Where are you from?
A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: bit.ly/2l17T9h
Q How can you afford to travel so much?
A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: • HOW TO TRAVEL THE WORL... and this one: • HOW TO SAVE MONEY FOR ... to learn more about my story.
Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use?
A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X
Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.
Q Why do you love India so much?
A Watch this video: bit.ly/2iyUKkc and this one: • WHY I LOVE INDIA - 6 M...

Yup. The first video that shows she has understood out country well. I am not against whites but a lot of them turn me off with their attitude. One time I saw these people in India Gate, I asked for a pic with them as they were clicking a lot of pics of others, they turned me of in rude manner, from then on I made sure I never talk to these people.

@@DT-eg4ip hey man, sorry about your bad experience but in the west, it's pretty uncommon to have pictures taken with strangers so if it seems like they have a bad attitude then maybe they are just confused. Sure some people are just rude in general but this may take some people off guard. I personally wouldn't have a problem with this but this could be a reason why some may seem rude.

One day walking down the street I heard a voice in my head 'go to India', I looked up ( really! ) and said 'why'? I went to see my boss next day and said 'send me to India' to scout for inspiration ( I work in fashion ) and he said ok and bought me a first class ticket! I landed in Mumbai and was met by an agent. Next morning I got up at 6 am and went out and sat in front on the Gateway in Mumbai and felt so at home. I travelled to several places, met an Indian guy , got married in Hampi in a traditional way with his priest uncle and we went to Goa for our honeymoon ,,,,, over the times I went back and forth it was the best moments in my life, the people are so friendly and generous and smiling and polite. I always had someone's baby in my arms and at least two dogs and several kids with me always. I cannot think of anywhere I would rather be in life.

By far the only person I've seen who actually took the time to understand the culture in our country. Almost everyone i've met from abroad including my own NRI friends fail to understand the complexity of this culture and what we perceive as happiness. It is NOT about how much you have, it's about what we experience. Materialistic wants have a never ending cycle and associating your happiness with 'things' is obviously a trap. And many of us fall to this trap :)

Every foreigner coming to India either goes to North or south neglecting east, west(except Mumbai) and N. E. Why why why only Mumbai??????? (If visited Maharashtra) other places are more beautiful even if Mumbai has skyscrapers, there is nothing much to explore. In Maharashtra Pune is perfect for exploring rich history of India, konkan beaches, historical forts, etc are just mesmerizing. In East and North East, there is a plenty of nature spaces. One could easily discover people's rich culture, heritage, etc there. My message to all Indians who have not visited these places and to foreigners who are coming in India, please don't be after Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata...everytime.Explore the true riches of India.
