I had a Turkish massage in Ankara, Turkey back in the 80s, and it was the most satisfying massage I've ever had. I was convinced to go to a real Turkish bath by a friend that had been living in Turkey for a decade. It was a big, hairy Turkish guy that did the massage and he reached places I would never have another man to reach, but the guy was 100% professional and there were no awkward sexual innuendo in what he was doing, so I learned to relax and let him do his thing. I wasn't disappointed! I felt like a billion dollar for weeks after the massage, and it costed basically nothing (it was about $5 for the bath, the sauna and for over an hour massage) and no back pain, no shoulder pain, no hip pain and so on - I felt like a newborn baby.

I had a similar experience in Istanbul. My favorite part was when he poured buckets of water over me, and I just felt this flow of over me. It seemed like there were soap bubbles too. It was such a unique and beautiful and calming experience.

As a massage therapist, I totally love this - I live in the West, and he is 100% correct - we are way too tight - and have way too many "rules" for doing this kind of massage - which, to me, is very healing. Good work !

Heyhey. Thanks for the kind words! And yes I totally agree, in the west we sometimes sexualise things too much. But here in India there is nothing sexual about a massage and to avoid such ideas the therapist is always from same sex as the client.

@@WildVikingTravels The massage therapist being the same gender as the client is not necessarily a guarantee against sexualising the experience (there are gay massage therapists too, you know?), but gay or not gay, female or male, the therapist MUST BE A PROFESSIONAL, a person who takes massage therapy seriously, and someone who is respectful of other people's boundaries.

I've had multiple deep tissue massages from many massage therapists and I always ask about their travels, and it always leads them to telling me where they learned this technique and that technique and them doing it on me, it brings out the enthusiasm in them and their talent after maybe being a little tired after the 5th or 6th treatment of the day 😊 And normally the next message I get from them is much better as they know they have the freedom to do the more advanced techniques they would not normally do on a newish person, I treat my barber the same, and he always knocks it out of the park.

I had the same massage in Kerala in September. Like you I don't really enjoy a stranger's touch but slowly relaxed into it. I enjoyed it so much i went back twice more. Kerala is where Ayurvedic Massage started. Oh, it is only 1,000 rupees in the South. I enjoyed the video.

My young Viking brother, good for you with going through with and receiving this massage!! I'm an old broken 55 yr old, my fierceness fading. In my youth I played Rugby and (Canadian) Football and Hockey, Hunted and spent many weeks exploring the wilderness close to my home in Alberta and in the mountains. What I didn't know was that my body was silently at war with me in the form of type 2 Diabetes so at the age of 50 I had to have my lower right leg (below the knee) amputated. I now have a prosthetic and the removal of my offending leg doesn't seem too bad although I cannot yet run with this thing, but I can dance. I have also given up ALL vanity and routinely go for massage and acupuncture to keep me from becoming stiff as a board. I truly wish at your age I had discovered the wonders and effects of a GOOD massage , one that is a firm deep tissue treatment and then followed the day after with a good swim and a sauna session. Take my advice and be good to your body whenever you can, do not pass up a massage, or local health treatment so long as it is not harmful and as always I advise you to dance freely, eat the cake and always, always kiss the Girl, or the Partner you have. I have now subscribed and will follow your adventures! Have fun!!

If it helps others get through the mental taboo, here is this... Those in the medical field (massage is included) have what I call the medical mindset. You approach all procedures with the intension of helping the person and everything that can be seen or touched is just another body part. When you are in this mindset, seeing the "taboo parts" has the same emotional effect on us as seeing/touching a person's hand or arm.

This was a good video. I live outside India and as an Indian, one of the things I miss the most is the massages. You can go to a barber.. any local barber and ask for a head massage. Its 15 minutes of bliss and relaxation. So next time you see this and if you are not an Indian from India, try out a barber and ask the guy if they do massages and get it done. Trust me you will not regret it!

Watching this made me realize that I could not go through life without my monthly massage...it wakes up muscles I never knew I had and I sleep so well for at least a week after one. I strongly suggest to people that even though they may be wary , a good massage will change your life! One hour a month...I would do it weekly if I could afford it!!!

I've been a massage therapist for 27 years and I've been working for myself for the last 14 years. I always do the glutes and hip flexors; these areas are some of the largest muscles in the body and frequently where people lose muscle mass first. He's spot on about carrying tension in your butt cheeks. I had an intense therapy massage called Rolfing done and it really fixed my sciatica (the leg pain, still some back pain but that's what I was told to expect). Anyways they do butt cheek stuff at one point and it felt absolutely insane I could literally feel my locked up muscles relaxing to the point where the rolfer asked me "what just happened" and I said "oh, i can feel my muscles were locked up so I relaxed them" and he told me that was the whole goal - often your muscles are so locked up you can't relax them because being tensed up has become their resting state.

I was in my 40s, and, like the fellow here, not comfortable about being touched & leery about letting a guy give me 'deep massage', as shown @0:10 . It really is about trust. A professional will make you follow the breathing technique. He times the moves to work with the exhale. Its amazing how deep they can penetrate when done this way. I didn't go as far as nut & butt shown here. That wasn't on offer. Doesn't surprise me that one of the comments describes being cured of sciatic pain. Great video!

OMG. Can't imagine a full body massage without attention to the groin and butt area. A great version of this service is challenging to find in America, because U.S. law does not permit it, but certain professionals (most are gay and fully understand the health benefits) excel at this. Once you've experienced a good version of this, there is no turning back to regular massage. The amount of stress built up in this area is astounding. When you experience the release of this stress, especially the first time, the experience is unlike any other. Your sex life can be forever changed. This special service is life altering, and if we didn't have so many Republicans, the service would be perfectly legal here.

I agree with the comment directly below about wanting to get a massage. Although I didn´t find it relaxing. I kind of felt your pain! I also felt the benefit you gleaned from it. I´ve never been to India, not yet. But I have had an amazing massage. I have been to Morocco several times, but never went to a hamam until I visited Marrakech. I had a guide who showed me lots of the city in a couple of days. He took me to a hamam. It was wonderful, until the massage where he stretched my limbs into positions I never thought possible. BUT, when I visited another steamy room and had time to relax, I suddenly felt almost euphoric. Mind and body. I´ve never felt so relaxed and comfortable in my life. That was the only time during my visit to Marrakech. The next day was Ramadan. The city was buzzing! Then sunset and the place was suddenly deserted. Not a vehicle, not a footfall anywhere, except mine. I felt I was disturbing the moment. I sat quietly in the middle of this most busy of cities that had suddenly gone into a hush. Utter peace and quiet. So, two experiences in Marrakech within 3 days that left me feeling almost spiritual. If I ever make it to India, I´ll look out for a total massage. As an ex massage therapist, I can understand the uncomfort for some people to being touched. I'm also a Cosmetologist and there's a skill to getting people to relax to your touch. The massage therapist has it much more difficult because they do have to work on areas that western society has deemed private. This gentleman seems to be very professional and I concur with his knowledge of the chakras. You have experienced a great interaction with a great person. It was nice to see.

I love massage, I am an MT myself. Yet, I never had an Indian nut and butt massage - nor do I preform them. I don't have nuts, but the butt massage sounds divine. Most people don't realize how much tension they carry on their glutes. They are surprised to experience such relief and relaxation from a good butt massage.

As a gay man who has never had a professional massage, I too tend to be a little awkward with the idea of this level of intimacy.
