But you can’t wear a swimming suit on the beach, outside of resorts beaches. They apply the Sharia / Islamic law. Look what they wear in the beach at 13:06.

Brilliant video. Tourism has it's problems as everything but overall is very positive industry. Everyone will spend some money, it is normal for visitors to reduce the cost as even for locals some goods are too expensive. Otherwise there will be no tourists. Not every country or area can be for big spenders.

Just got back from Beau vallon in mahe! Done b&b at the berjaya hotel and used to stuff myself on the breakfast to last me until around 7 Then just a 10 minutes walk took me to the local street food outlets. You can easily get a burger and chips etc for around 8 euros or local fish etc that will fill you up until the next day and save you plenty to go island hopping. Also there's a few local supermarkets that are relatively cheap also but a bit more expensive than here in the uk . The local restaurants are just there to screw mr and mrs tourist and honestly the street food is just as good! One last thing.... Just go cos it's an amazing place and iff you like a laugh check out the coco de mer.

If you go to a town where all of its people are fasting with devotion and start eating in public without an excuse ( medical condition , etc), its a clear disrespect and an act of mockery. There is no fun in Ramadan for tourists, and if you want to experience it, then don't play offensive, simple 🎉🎉

Is it safe to go as a gay couple? I am under the impression that islamic rules are reinforced.
@WildVikingTravels5 күн бұрын
In simple terms: Avoid showing public affection and you will be all good.👍 Yes, there are islamic rules, but what most people don't understand is that the relationships between friends from same sex are way more intimate in Islamic countries. It's a common sight to see 2 male friends embracing or holding each other's hands on the street and also sharing a room with a friend is very common (if you want to be extra cautious then asking for twin room eliminates all other questions) So long story short: if you don't publicly claim to be gay there's nothing to worry about. (And yes, I understand that it might be restricting not to be able to express yourself fully, but sadly in some parts of the world it is still the case. However we and mamy other travelers accept this as the price to pay to explore some of the more exotic countries and cultures. And this last part we know quite well, because the same judgement and rules also apply to unmarried couples which we happen to be) *hope this helps 😁👌

From my POV ITS JUST SAD THAT OUR ONE TRUE KING *GOD HAD TO GIVE HIS ONLY SON TO DIE FOR US JUST SO THAT WE MUST GO ON AND LIVE THE LIFE HE GAVE US BY WORKING TO SURVIVE AND THEN HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING WE WANT IN THE WORLD .... HUMANS JUST MAKES ME SAD BECAUSE EVERYTHING WE NEED HE GAVE US FOR FREE BY GIVING US A LIFE IN THIS WORLD...HIS WORLD....BUT UNFORTUANLY THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD HAD TO GO AGAINST HIM(OUR ONE AND ONLY KING) AND PUT A PRIZE ON EVERYTHING

In Medina, non-Muslims are allowed to enter, but the only place that non-Muslims are forbidden to enter in Medina is the Prophet's Mosque. Sorry if you didn't understand something because I'm using Google Translate.
