If you are blessed, someday you will be able to see Holi in "Barsana and Mathura (Uttar Pradesh)". It is origine place of Holi festival. There you can't enjoy alcoholic drink but I can assure, you would love it. You will experience totally different culture and Holi celebration. Holi in Barsana is 15-20 days before the official Holi festival. Come and visit next year.

These are celebrations of manners citizens. There is another version of Holi celebration among rural areas like they will rub hard to clean colors on your teeth, full body silver colored like silver surfers etc. They are fun to watch but we usually keep a safe distance from them as they have no mercy during Holi. And once they attack you you will join them and the vibe is such that you will start attacking others like them. They are like zombies.

It will be worst holi experience they will have. Watch some other foreigner videos of holi in Mathura vrindavan.... People used drain water to play holi with uninterested foreigners. And yesterday I've got a video on Reddit where a Japanese girl who was alone was groped by hunch of guys and Harrassed her in worst way they can... at the end she was crying.... people were touching, slapping her butt. It really broked me.
